Our hearts are broken for Lahaina, one of our favorite places on earth. We spent our last night on the island in May at the Pioneer Inn and walked over to the Sunrise Cafe for a leisurely breakfast. We enjoyed the humor of our server and the coziness of the front room. Our food was great! We will be back someday and hope this place rebuilds. We would love to eat there again.

Such a terrible service. Waited menu for 15 min and guy server told us to wait for 45 min just for food and i asked him why he didn’t tell us that before and all he said was “well i told you have to wait”. Plus the restaurant doesn’t accept check or card but only cash. Do you actually pay taxes for your business, owner? Very fishy

Very horrible customer service. We went in and the male server said “kitchen is booked up” and we thought it would be at the most 20 min. He came up and said “wait is 45 min” after giving us 15 min to decide the menu. He could’ve informed us the long wait time and i asked why he didn’t inform us and he said “well i said it’s booked up”. Such a nice, professional attitude right? He has such an attitude.

One of my favorite breakfast spots in Maui. Run by a family and really gives you that special ma pop homey restaurant feeling. All of their menu items are always great. My favorite meal would be the Loco Moco though! Cash only and don't be in a hurry, enjoy the island pace ?

This is such a nice place for breakfast, and it was close to our Best Western Pioneer Inn. I had 2 eggs, Hawaiian Portuguese sausage, toast, potatoes and some delicious and freshly made pineapple juice. My wife enjoyed her French Toast. Our server was very friendly and everything was delivered to us promptly. Word to the wise, they only accept CASH.

Cash only. Great place for a bite before taking the ferry over to lanai. French toast and lox Benedict were both great. We arrived at 8:10am and there were plenty of seats and we had plenty of time to eat - around 45 mins total. By 9am it became much busier.

Love this place!!! It’s small and nothing fancy but what matters is the food which was delicious. I had the lox Benedict both times. I recommend this if you like salmon. The staff is also kind and attentive. The prices are even reasonable . We even got a pic with Auntie Ida! Give this place a try!***Please Note They Only Accept Cash!***

We got there around 745 on a Wednesday and got seated quickly. The French toast was with sweet Hawaiian bread and was delicious! Great service!
Our visit for breakfast started with a very slow moving line. Once we were seated we were informed that some menu options were not available. After an hour wait after ordering, one meal was substituted for something else due to missing ingredients. To top it off, I hit my head on the ceiling exiting the dining area. Not a great experience. I'm also surprised and disappointed that they are cash only.

The sunrise cafe is a must do when you are in Maui. It is such a small quaint little breakfast place.The loco moco is so good. The food is great. The staff is wonderful. You can’t go wrong.

Went for breakfast and loved it! The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The place is a bit quirky with its rough construction, mismatched furniture and dishes, but that only gives it an eclectic character! I had the sunrise breakfast plate, my husband had the breakfast burrito. Servings were generous and perfectly cooked and seasoned. I’m not much of a breakfast eater, but I cleaned my plate! We’ll be going again before we leave the island. FYI - cash only. You gotta try it! Really good!

Pretty good, value was okay. The food was cooked nicely and the waitress was working hard. The greeter was a little unfriendly and the owner or cashier made the change weird were I could only under or over tip.
