A rare option of Filipino - Hawaiian cuisine! Some showed hints of Japanese cuisine too which was interesting (like Hamachi kama and sushi). Portions were on the lighter side, and therefore the 4 stars (vs 5). Definitely enjoyed the ambiance and our server was really accommodating with our asks (thank you!)

We didn't get what we paid for. Understaffed and the servers were overwhelmed. My server forgot my drink order while I was patiently waited. Poor location, poor table setting/ layout, disorganized, and the foods didn't meet the quality that we paid for. Three of us with 2 appetizers and 3 main meals and no alcohol (forgot my order) ended with $230. We traveled a lot and always liked fine dining but this place is absolutely nothing special as advertised.

Enjoyed the ambience, Food was unique with Filipino Asian fusion flavors. Seating was tight and had some problems with the bill but staff corrected the issue and where the manager made sure everything was ok which was nice. I would eat there again.

Food was above average but nothing special. Just went to a high end sushi place in California. The place in California was near and shoulders better sushi and cheaper. All in all, nice but would not return.

We enjoyed a delightful evening at Macadangdangs Asian Fusion restaurant. Creative appetizers and salad were delicious. The selection of local draft beers were a treat for me and the bar was full of local patrons having a good time. The tofu entree with taro leaf and coconut milk was superb and it was a pleasure that Chef Joey came out so I could thank him directly. The chocolate torte and ume cheesecake were a perfect ending for a terrific meal. Thankyou for the excellent service that made our birthday celebration a most memorable evening ????

The restaurant is in Lahina Maui, they are on par with most of the sit down restaurants cost wise. The food was fresh, but nothing to rave about. Service was decent. I will look elsewhere to dine next time in Maui.

Everything was really outstanding. Usually like to eat at the ocean's edge, but this restaurant is an exception. Our server was excellent , and so was the food. Only issue was the undisclosed charge on our bill which was explained as a tip for the kitchen when we asked about it. Been to the islands many times, never have seen this , even on the mainland. Note to restaurant, if you are doing this, you should advise your patrons.

We enjoyed Macadangdang's twice during our Maui vacation. We sat inside one night and outside the other. Both restaurant dinning areas are lovely. Inside is more active with the bar scene, TVs, etc. The food is delicious! A wide range of fish, sushi, beef, vegetarian, etc. Definitely something for everyone! I highly recommend the potstickers, hamachi carpaccio, Kaanapali sushi role, garlic rice, ribeye and banana lumpia. The craft cocktails are expertly made. Our server, Emma, was extremely professional and personable. She was attentive and gave great recommendations on the menu. We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We enjoyed our experience. It was really fun to try some new things. The drinks were delicious tried a few different ones and they were all beautiful but my favorite was was their mai tai. it wasn't too sweet. The sushi was really good. Loved the duck Kare Kare. The service was fantastic.

Sisig, bistek and lechon were excellent! Ube colada and Joey's hamma-Rita were delish and not watered down. Got to meet Chef Joey who took the time to speak to us and take a pic. Can't wait to return with family!

We had an early dinner and selected the spicy poké roll and the dynamite baked scallops. Both were well crafted, delicious, and fair portions for the price. We also had the potstickers (4) and edamame for apps. Both were very good and plentiful. We weren't sure about ordering dessert but it ended up being quite a surprise. The flourless chocolate cake was rich and decadent and the lilikoi bar was quite flavorful. Don't let the lack of ambiance or location fool you, the food is excellent. Also, Jackie (manager) was pulling duty as our server and she was also excellent. It's a nice, casual place somewhere between the expensive options and the super casual. We recommend it!

Ordered large appetizer for the table which was great. Food was good but portions very small and quite expensive. Service was slow and inattentive. Waiter brought one entree and then we waited 10 minutes for second entree and another 5-10 minutes for the next entree. That was after waiting a long time to place our order. I won't be back.

I asked for soft shell crab sushi bc I saw it on the on line menu. The waitress said yes, we have it but its inside the other sushi roll. But when I bit into it, it was NOT soft shell crab, it was snow crab. She need to know the big difference !!!! So dissappointed. Our sushi had no taste, no sushi vinegar taste.

What a wonderful little spot. Cocktails were visually beautiful and tasted amazing. Food was so tasty; grabbed some speciality rolls, little bites and my friends shared the butterfish. Staff were knowledgeable about safety precautions with celiac disease (gluten free) too.

Food was excellent, fresh and full of flavor. Service was a little subpar. Ordered a drink first and didn't get it until after I ate main course. We were ignored for the first 10 minutes while other tables who were sat later got immediate attention. Waitresses did her best considering that she had too many tables but this is a management issue. It was my first time and would go back to give a second chance.
