Taverna is a fantastic dinner spot on Maui. The food is delicious and it's an easy, yummy Italian option for the family. The location is gorgeous and the staff is super friendly. We always eat here at least twice per trip!

My experience was ruined by the feral cats that were running around our table and begging for food during our dinner. I understand it's an island-wide problem, but this was ridiculous. Other guests were feeding the cats by hand during dinner, and the staff/owners did nothing to discourage them. They are under new ownership and prices have increased. Although the food and service were excellent, it was an overall horrible experience. This place was recommended by a friend. I will never return and wouldn't encourage anyone else to go here unless you like sharing your meals with feral cats.

I had the special grilled mahimahi which was excellent, especially the accompanying sauce and coconut/sweet potato puree. My husband had the mac-nut coated mahimahi and totally loved it. We had a lovely table in a quite corner of the restaurant so we were able to visit with our two couple friends easily. Our friends had the gnocchi, spinach ricotta ravioli, meat lover's pizza, melon salad and roasted beet salad and all were happy with their dishes. I do wish there were more traditional Italian entrees as that is something I miss on Maui.

Great vibe and views to relax and enjoy dinner. Our server (Taylor I believe) was great, very nice and attentive. The food was absolutely delicious. Appetizers and main courses both alike. Lasagna was great! Would definitely come back.

The pizza, pasta, cocktails were all wonderful. The service was exceptional. It was effortless to get a seat which was a real treat. The only suggestion was in regard to the Fritto Misto, it needs more flavor.

Poke ahi quality poor. Beer glass was chipped. Refused $100 from Redwood Credit Union saying it was fate. In sum, hassled Houle with Chinese national wife.

Thank you for making my husbands birthday celebration nothing but spectacular. This was the first time eating here and the food, atmosphere, and service were nothing short of amazing! My husband LOVED the shrimp scampi and the ahi poke as an appetizer. Thank you again to the team for making our last day in Hawaii nothing short of special!!
Every year I am in maui I make it a point to go here for dinner! I have only ever had the most incredible food and the best service. Highly recommend for a yummy dinner. It is a little pricey but the food is worth it. You can go dressed down or super dressed up. Happy hour is pretty good as well. Also Amazing views

Alandro , our waiter provided great service and explained all the special. I had the Hawaiian snapper which crisp on the outside and soft and tender on the inside. Very tasty. My wife had the creamy carbonara with kitchen also excellent. A very good dining experience. Highly recommend.

Taverna is under new ownership and may need to shake a few things out. My wife and I had a light meal of Frito misto and a margherita pizza along with a glass of Chianti each. First off the place is very beautiful and a wonderful outdoor seating. The service was very good and the food was solid. The problem was the price, high even for Maui. $95 before Tip is excessive for the amount of food we got. Hopefully they will work that out.
