Such a great experience! Randall our Chef was amazing! Our kids had the best time and the food was delicious!
Our family was sit on the experience. While my husband and daughter liked the bacon in the fried rice, that was a miss for me. Large Tiger shrimp were great but Steak was a little tough. Chef seemed a bit scripted and too rehearsed. Definitely not the best Hibachi experience we have been to.
We had a very happy time dining at Teppan Yaki while staying at Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa on our vacation. So impressed!!!
Teppanyaki Dan dinners are EXCELLENT and VERY tasty! Food portions are generally very good, too! It does sometimes get a bit loud and noisy when the chefs clang the metal spatulas, though! But the chefs are quite entertaining and humorous, which is great! 👍
Tourists trap! Do not waste your money, buy a pizza. We spent $550 (family of 4) on mediocre food and drinks, Watching paint dry could be more entertaining then the chef provided. A onion volcano is the best he's got? Come on! The guy couldn't even stack cracked eggs. The atmosphere in the restaurant was flat like our sodas. There was very little interaction. We were extremely disappointed and felt robbed.
Jett did a great job. Our food experience was fun. We had the honor of being seated with some locals who knew our chef. Felt like Ohana!
Horrible service, waited over 30 minutes to be seat with reservations. Food was not good quality . Very expensive not worth the price!
Unfortunately, this location has really lost what it once was. They have deviated from known and traditional Japanese cooking for Teppanyaki, even their sauces they use now are terrible. Not sure we'll go back again.
For the cost, the cook had no experience other than jokes . Steak was overcooked as was lobster . Over priced for the experience and food
The staff and chef were very friendly and engaging but the food was overpriced and the quality was not up to par. If you wanted the typical fried rice it cost you an extra $11 each. Otherwise you get white steamed rice. I would not go back

They had one server for entire restaurant. We sat for 20 minutes before even taking drinks order. Then another 15 minutes after drinks to take food order. Once food was ordered had to wait another 20 minutes for the only 1 chef available to. One to our table. Very poorly managed for staffing. The waiter did a great job but he was the only one there literally with no help. Get some more servers and cooks if you're running a restaurant at a resort.
Great food, and wonderful engagement and entertainment. I was so surprised to find that Maui had a teppanyaki restaurant, as I hadn't heard of there being one. This is a very nice space with a more intimate setting given the smaller restaurant size. I would describe it as cozy and a great way to engage in conversation with your fellow patrons and cook.
Love the whole experience/ always such a fun time with the family!! Super loud but that's part of it. Food was delicious and we loved the chef!
The food was standard Hibachi nothing real special about it. It was good food, just didn't stand out. The service was great, and the restaurant was well lit. Good entertainment from the chef. Overall the restaurant was really loud
Like others have said, this place doesn't have the same entertainment value as other places. The chef was not engaging or very entertaining. The “vegetables” were pretty much bean sprouts and onion with 1 carrot, asparagus and mushroom for the table. The upcharge for “fried rice” was to add multiple different kinds of onions 1 egg and soy sauce. Would not recommend or return.
