A wonderful alternative to many simple seafood places on the water and the hotels in Ka'anapali. Perfect for a sunset dinner every time. The tables are well placed apart. Can watch the ocean and sunset or the interesting parade of people walking along the beach path. The cocktails are well made THOUGH please Know they do NOT OFFER any blended drinks like naval flow or Pina colada...the wine list is extensive but they do offer the famous MonkeyPod Mai Tai with the foam. Plenty of all Local food ingredients and all were well prepared. And finally our server was perfection is personality, attentiveness, rechecking our needs, and bubbly energy. It should definitely be part of your Maui western shore dining. And do t forget: they offer 3 hours free valet parking while you eat at the Westin

We were in for an 8pm reservation. Service was slow at first while they were busy, which was understandable. However, we ordered, our appetizers came, but after 45 minutes we hadn't gotten our main courses. We all had drinks and never got refills. Eventually, at 9:15 our server came and asked whether we wanted dessert. We told her we hadn't gotten our main courses yet! She ran off to the kitchen to check on things. At this point, my kids were tired from jet lag, and we could have just canceled our order and gone to bed. But, our server never came back to the table and our meals came our 20 minutes later. As the food arrived, we asked for the check, so we could leave after eating. Our bill was nearly $400. They made no attempt to adjust our bill, offer any future discount, or make it up to us in any way. I hardly ever complain or write negative reviews, but I was disappointed to pay top dollar, get poor service, then basically act like business as usual. Definitely will not be back. Now I am questioning our Saturday reservation at the main Merriman's location.

The food here is far better than any of the restaurants nearby. Some of the best I've had on the island, honestly. I've dined at all of them (Monkeypod, Lelanis's, Hula). Beautiful space inside, a lot of outdoor seating. Surprised Ulu is less busy than the spots closer to the main boardwalk. Also, take advantage of the free valet at the hotel. The parking garage for the shopping center is always a nightmare.

During our entire vacation, we visited this restaurant. We were never disappointed in our choice, everything was top notch!!!

We really wanted to try Maui Nui Venison, and it was delicious! The prime rib was also really good. The lobster ravioli wasn't the best I've ever had, and I thought it would taste better from the description. The service was wonderful as well as the serene atmosphere. It was definitely worth it.

Food and service were terrific. We had scallops and ahi. Be prepared for the sun to get you if you're dining in the late afternoon. Beautiful view but the sun is brutal before it sets.

Perfect restaurant right on the beach small quantity of food for the price but very common in Hawaii in general would come back easy to walk into did not really need a reservation, but I had made one anyways and we were there right around. Sunset time perfect place to watch the sunset.

We really enjoyed ourselves and the food was great! We sat at the table right in front of the kitchen which was incredible. It was great watching the food being set up on the plates and the kitchen so quiet and run so smoothly! The view was on another level! Our server was amazing and very knowledgeable and very friendly. Great guy!!

It was a beautiful night to sit outside. Service was fantastic. Food was great, including the crabcakes, cargo and lobster ravioli.

We went with several; off the menu selections recommended by our server Corey (??) and they were excellent! Therefore we really enjoyed the meal. The restaurant was a little warm initially but improved greatly after the sun lower more.

Excellent food and service. Seating is comfortable and spacious unlike being jammed in like the close by Hula Grill.

Had the $60 wok fried ahi. I've been on Maui 20 days and it was easily the worst meal we've had.

Totally boring and limited menu. Fully feels like a standard hotel menu. Nothing special so overpriced, Service was way below par of other restaurants. Vibe is also nit amazing even thou its in the middle of everything, we left after appetizers and went to monkeypod, waayyy better.

Our outdoor dining reservation was up to our high standards! Our waitress was OUTSTANDING! The ambiance was great (I wish the staff had opened an umbrella about 20 minutes earlier for my wife)! The menu is what I would expect in Hawaii with a twist of spice or seasonal fare.

Open air, beautiful views in all directions, soft music from the bar area, and happy, efficient staff caring for us! Delightful...a bit pricey, but what isn't these days!
