I'll start with the good, food was pretty (Mahi fish/chips) decent and about par with most hotel casual dining places.
Cocktails here are a disaster. They're selling 20+ dollar cocktails with bottom tier mixers. They actually use fresh lime in their margaritas....but the bartender muddled the limes instead of juicing them? Instead of shaking the drink he threw it in a glass, added soda water with less than 1 1/2 oz of liquor.
If you want a good cocktail, go elsewhere. These are overpriced, watered down, improperly made cocktails. And to be clear, this was on their menu, not a custom order. Very disappointed with this bar.

The ambience was great. The service was okay. But on food side we ordered the burger which was really good including the fries but the quantity was less for the price. We also ordered vegetarian pasta which was very bland. Mai tai was awesome !!

Tried the wings, mushroom flatbread and the hurricane fries.
Wings and flatbread were pretty average, but we really liked the hurricane fries. We never had to wait for a table, and it was very conveniently located.
The service was consistently great. Food arrived quickly and hot, and waters were consistently being refilled.
As soon as we got close to the bottom of our beers/mixed drinks, we were asked if we wanted another.

I recently visited Umalu, and I was beyond impressed — especially as someone who follows a plant-based diet. It’s not always easy to find restaurants that offer more than just one token vegan dish, but this place absolutely delivered!
The vegan options were plentiful, creative, and delicious.
If you’re vegan, vegetarian, or just looking to try something new and healthy without sacrificing flavor, Umalu is a must-visit.

Ugh. Reheated Costco potstickers. After tax/tip = $5 per REHEATED COSTCO POTSTICKER. it’s actually pretty insulting.
Great outdoor pool location if you’re after a casual meal at the bar with the sunset, music and live sport going. I went twice and had the poke both times, two different ways. My friend had the burger and said it was great. The staff here are welcoming and friendly as well.

By accident we wandered along the beach . ...and found Umalu..we were hungry; now our tummy's are Happy 😁... I ordered the Ono with fennel and mushrooms. My wife ordered the Street Taco 🌮 s. Absolutely amazing!

Food is good. Highly recommend salad and add protein. Decent price since it’s in the Hyatt hotel and open late. Portion is regular, not too much not too little. Drinks are a little bit more but the bartenders can’t be more friendly. Have fun there and talk to them and ask for their new trials or testings, you would be surprised.

Very friendly service, beautiful views, and they had a great plant-based menu to offer once we told them we were vegan.
Vegetarian options: I had a gluten free taro burger and my partner had the vegan fish and chips. We both loved our dishes! The smaller, plant-based menu has a good variety of options and makes it very easy to order vegan.
Dietary restrictions: They have a good number of items that can be made both vegan and gluten free. They told me that they use a dedicated GF fryer and do their best to avoid cross contamination for customers that request GF items.
