We shared a Tomahawk steak for our family. It was hands down one of the best steaks I have ever had. Perfect presentation!

We picked Waicoco to celebrate a special event. The restaurant staff delivered in an incredible way. From appetizers to dessert, the food was impeccable. We have been another time since and it was a similar experience. Book around sunset for an extra special treat.
Vegetarian options: My wife had many options to choose from, this is usually not the case in West Maui.
Kid-friendliness: My daughter is a picky eater and the restaurant bent over backwards to accommodate her and make her feel special.
The restaurant is on the waterfront. The outdoor dining has an excellent view of sunsets, and after sunset the stars over the bay. The food was excellent, as opposed to most of the food I’ve had on Maui, which is over priced and very tourist industry driven. Our server, Natasha, was excellent. I had the ahi tuna, my daughter the teriyaki salmon, and my wife an assortment of appetizers including the island mushrooms and the local catch Crudo style. All were excellent and the Ahi was the best I have ever had (I have had a lot of sashimi tuna in my lifetime). The tuna was up there with the the steak I had in Telluride over 20 years ago and more recently in Florence Italy. I don’t know if it was the cut of tuna or the chef, but in any case it was incredible.I don’t really know why this place does not come up on searches of best restaurants in Maui. We just stumbled on it while walking along the shore and noticed there were were empty seats. Which is why those “best restaurant” lists are never really a good barometer of food quality.
Waicoco is an amazing place to dine at. The atmosphere (right on the water, gentle breeze and sunsets) can't be beat. The drinks are delicious - get the one in a Tiki cup. The service was fast and attentive. The desert was to die for. I HIGHLY recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants a fantastic experience. On a side note, I had a client staying at the hotel and I wanted a special dining experience for them. I contacted the Manager of the restaurant and he assured me that he would take of them (on my tab of course). He sure did! I quickly got pictures sent from my client thanking me for the kind gesture and impressive surprise. I couldn't have done this without the help of a great Manager. Well done!

We had an amazing meal, service and view at Waicoco on our last visit to Maui. The hostess was so sweet and she was able to accommodate our large party with little notice. The service was attentive and we even were greeted by the manager part way through our meal to make sure we had everything we needed. He was so nice and even grabbed our party at sunset for a family photo. We are still dreaming of the Ahi, pork belly, Hawaiian rolls and the curry. Thank you for a memorable evening.

Our family were looking for a special place to celebrate an anniversary. Waicoco delivered in spades. From appetizers to desert, our entire family were taken care of and looked after by the staff. I’ve been back since and had the same fantastic experience.

Place is magical to see a sunset, excellent service. We had Seared Ahi ( dinner menu) was excellent, however Baby back ribs were a bit too salty for our taste but the way they prepared them and delicious crust on top was really good.

We had a very enjoyable time eating at Waicoco. The food was delicious. Time between order and food delivery to our table was paced just right. Our server checked on us frequently and was helpful in answering the questions that we had. We ate outside at sunset, where the full beauty of the island hits you in the face. It was just two of us when we went, but a bigger group would seem like a lot of fun. Our main entrée was huge. Gave it the old college try but couldn't finish it. We would definitely go back.

Our appetizer (Hawaiian rolls) were completely forgotten, and only after a 30 minute absence of our server were we able to rectify. Sides were incorrect in our entrees, the mac & cheese was forgotten entirely (and we let it go), but perhaps the most FOMO moment of the evening was when the table (male/female) behind us was asked if they were celebrating anything whilst we (a gay couple) were not, in spite of the fact that this was the restaurant we had chosen to sneak away from family for our 9 year anniversary. Ouch. They did comp the dessert in celebration, but most of our experience tonight felt like pulling teeth to salvage this dining experience.

I would not recommend for vegetarians. I was excited they had a vegetarian menu (good for them), but all 3 of the dishes are spicy. The dan-dan noodles were ok, but the cauliflower curry was not. My wife couldn't eat it and didn't want kimchi fried rice. There are so many vegetarian dishes in the world to choose from, please try again. We also had to wait 15 minutes past our reservation time (along with about a dozen other people), though there were a lot of empty tables. A disappointing dinner.
Had breakfast here in the month of June 2023. Would recommend this for a higher-end breakfast restaurant. They have a great deal breakfast with appetizer and “Something sweet” for $32. It still ends up being an expensive restaurant when you include drinks. The French toast here was delicious, highly recommend to share with a group. The entrees were good as well. Great service and great view of the ocean.

One miss after another all evening...1. Appetizer order was missed and server was nowhere to be found for almost 30 minutes. By the time she came back and we could remind her, the appetizer came out after the mains.2. We ordered a main dish with two sides but subbed one of the two sides for another of equal price. The side we subbed was on the plate but the other one (that normally comes with the dish) was not. We pointed this out but were still charged full price for the dish, despite never receiving the full dish.3. We ordered an additional side to enjoy family-style but it never arrived (we were not charged for this one).4. Server took away a drink that was only two-thirds consumed (and we would have liked to finish it).5. The adjacent table was asked if they were celebrating anything, though we never were asked. After our meal, our server dropped off a dessert menu. When she came back for our order, my spouse said "happy anniversary, I'll let you pick the dessert". She abruptly picked up the dessert menu and said "oh, well if it's your anniversary, we'll bring you a slice of guava cake at no charge". This is great, but it would have been nice to have been asked (and not have gotten our hopes up about a different dessert first).

A beautiful and well located restaurant on the beach. We enjoyed a lovely meal with drinks whilst watching the sunset. It’s worth the money with a great selection of specialised meals. The service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend a dinner or lunch then when in Maui.
