We had 6pm reservations on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was nice with live music in the nearby courtyard, but they were out of MANY items, including all grilled fish, all pizza, and tofu (for the only vegetarian item on the menu). We'd never go back.
Good menu and ambience. Waiter was not in tune with his guests, but we still were charged a mandatory 18% “gratuity”.
The food was amazing!! We didn't expect the food to be as great as it was!! The service was great that our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. There was no wait for the table or the table service. The only down side was that they were understaffed in the kitchen, and our wait time for the food was about an hour. Even so, the food was worth the wait!!!
Parking availability was fine at The Pounder Restaurant Very bland atmosphere and cleanliness especially on tables is an issue. Customer service is not a priority, in fact, it is inferior. Staff seemed unhappy. Not good service. Before we ordered garlic shrimp we asked the waitress if the deep fried shrimp would be fresh cooked and served immediately. She assured us it would be. When the food was served the breading on the shrimp was soft and soggy and barely warm. It was obvious it had been cooked quite awhile before. It wasn't good. The rice and macaroni salad served with the shrimp were ok. No one came to check if the food was OK until after we were finished. When asked, I explained to the waitress our experience. She said it was caused from the garlic sauce added to the shrimp which is not correct. We do not recommend this restaurant for atmosphere, food or service.
Food was ok. The tuna could’ve been more fresh. Shrimp made us sick.

The quality and taste of their food was mediocre at best. Service was also hit and miss with a couple of errors in our order. Price point is about 20-30% more than what you can get for that quality of food. Overall, it's the only restaurant choice at PCC for those who don't want to take the buffet or food trucks.
Food was decent. However, service was horrible. We had Sheri and she was very rude. At one point, I asked for a refill and she told me I’d be okay for a minute and proceeded to not come back for a while…forgetting to even bring my drink. She wouldn’t look us in the eyes. Sheri seemed to obviously switch her attitude when dealing with different tables. You have to reciprocate aloha to keep getting it. There was yelling from staff to staff across the way as well. Overall, won’t be back again. I’ve never been treated this way anywhere before. I usually give people the benefit of the doubt, that maybe they were having a bad day, but after seeing better service being given at other tables…I concluded that it wasn’t just a bad day. 🤙🏻

The garlic shrimp lacked seasoning, were dry, and not crispy at all. The mac and cheese was absolutely tasteless, and the rice was served cold and overly dry.
It's worth noting that I had the meal included with a day tour, which may explain the food quality; however, it's still surprising for a restaurant setting.
On a positive note, the atmosphere and dining environment were enjoyable.

We came to this restaurant because it had overwhelming positive reviews and we were looking for a sit down restaurant near the north shore.
I will start with the positives. The atmosphere inside the restaurant is very nice, from the lighting to the place settings and the tables and chairs they have made a very nice atmosphere. The staff were attentive and took good care of us. The plating on the food was top notch and looked amazing.
That is where the positives end. The food came out and the only redeeming quality was the appearance. I ordered the surf and turf bowl with garlic shrimp. The steak was not seasoned and the garlic shrimp were over cooked, the breading was soggy, and they didn't have a single hint of garlic flavor. We also ordered the Korean fries chicken which came out barely warm to the touch and soggy.
Overall the service was very good and the atmosphere was very nice but I cannot recommend eating here.

Nice place to grab dinner every once in a while when visiting family on the North Shore. The staff is nice, but seem over-worked, and so even though none of them are standing around, service is kinda sparse. The food was good, but kinda expensive (to be expensive I suppose). They sell cookies (and slices if cake) at the front that are really good, so I'd recomend that on your way out (you don't have to dine to buy the cookies). They seemed to struggle to ring up the cake though, as it took them like, 4 minutes to do it.

This rating has nothing to do with the food or service. Both of those are excellent. But common Pounders, it’s 2025. Both women AND men’s bathrooms should have a baby changing station… not just women’s. My husband had to bring our baby back to me at the table to go change myself. Messed up

Nothing to write home about. The only sit down restaurant at PCC besides the buffet. Food looked good but lacked flavor. Even the cookies on display looked amazing but we were again left a bit disappointed. Our server was nice and helpful however.
