“This was some of the best food we had on the island. I had the pork bowl and my wife had the orange chicken. My bowl was great and the sauce was spot on. According to my wife the orange chicken was possibly the best she has ever had.”

We got there pretty early so we ordered otai and auntie gave us some watermelon while we waited for our bbqー which was some of the best grilled chicken we've ever had! I recommend calling ahead if you want to try specific menu items or have a larger group since it's a small operation. But if you're not picky, try whatever is on hand and it's sure to be good!”

“Delicious and substantial pies! Flaky and buttery crust and juicy inside. They have the best crust ever. We tried so far chicken curry and steak onion. Delicious!!! You can freeze them reheat an air fryer. So good! Their puffs are, I think, better than Liliha Bakery because it is not overly sweet. Delicious! Highly recommend it.”

“Gotta give these guys 5 stars for staying open during a heavy rain storm that caused blackouts and flooding around the island. We walked in, the entire shopping center was blacked out, except these guys had a light on and the fryer going. Huge line for this place, everyone standing in the dark. Really appreciate it. “I met Jocelyn at the cashier, and honestly, she’s one of the most friendly and kind people you could ever meet. She has such a warm and welcoming vibe that makes you feel comfortable right away. The way she talks to customers feels very genuine and you can tell she really cares. She’s super patient, easy to talk to, and always has a positive energy. Even when it’s busy, she still makes people feel noticed and appreciated, which I think is really rare.

“The dining hall has improved in their food quality greatly this last year. I have eaten at BYUH from 2017, right when the Banyan Dining Hall opened 2022, and now 2025. It is better than it ever was. I will say the price is a bit out of budget for average individual (unless you have a meal plan). There is lack of main meal options (3-5 a day) compared to restraunt buffets but plenty of sides are available. It is structured as a cafeteria for students and a great option for students and for those who live in the area but it is not the same as a buffet option you may have in town. Make sure to check the website for the menu each week!”
