“When we did our recent visit to Hawaii I had to try some Korean BBQ. Really good food. I liked the way you could make the different sauces customized to your liking. Hot, sweet, or savory, or even a bit of all five sauces they had.
The area is setup as a food truck area. But the food trucks are permanently installed. Nice outdoor Hawaiian vibe. It's really nice at night.“

“Let’s be clear…to get a 5 STAR review you need a couple things. 1. A memorable experience that is worth telling people about. 2. A desire to come back! 3. RARELY on vacation will I eat at a place TWICE but occasionally, there is such a place and Deez Bowls is now one of them!
Deez Bowls is a food truck in a North Shore institution that includes the famous Giovanni’s (too buttery for me). You will find food trucks aplenty anchored by Seven Brothers Kitchen and Market.
I ordered the combo bowl of Spicy Ahi and Garlic shrimp! So flippin good!!! The portions were generous with 6-7 sautéed shrimp with minced garlic and not overly buttered like other trucks. The Ahi was cubed small enough to fit in a good portion with light fluffy rice and the sauce was flavorful without being overwhelming!
Seating is plentiful on this Sunday with picnic tables everywhere and beautiful weather. The aloha service was outstanding with Marte (Mcfly lol) and Aloe taking excellent care of me and making conversation!
At the End of the Day this is a mood and taste choice out of the plethora of food trucks. Deez Bowls is a don’t miss on your way north if you’re driving on H83 and we’ll be back since my wife was pissed that she got tacos!“

“Really tasty food with generous portions. Food is cooked to order, so is fresh and very hot. The spicy shrimp is truly that so be ready for the heat! The lemon pepper shrimp was also delicious. The owners are very friendly. There are picnic tables (both covered and uncovered) are available; just don't feed the chickens from next door that will come to visit you!“
“If you just finished your tour in Kualoa Ranch, come here for a snack/lunch! Delicious Chicken and Steak Tacos and Chicken Tamales!
Friendly owners :)
We got help from a little girl who spoke Spanish and she said it was really good and we had to try, so we did!“

“Ty's Beach Bus is located on the North Shore of Oahu in Kahuku, HI in the food truck village near the Kahuku Sugar Mill. This fun lunch spot, complete with a couple of picnic tables, offers a limited but tasty menu of beach food favorites such as hamburger's, chicken sandwiches and hotdogs. it also offers sweet waffles and churro's. We tried the chicken sandwich and the churro with ice-cream. Both were pretty good. The service was great and the environment cannot be beat.“

“This pizza in a food truck park was very solid. Giving it 5 stars even though it's not the greatest pizza I've ever had. The crust was a bit too cornmealy for my taste but my wife loved it. The cheese, sauce, and toppings were very good.“

“I am a stickler when it comes to smoked meats and this restaurant is absolutely a staple on the island. Everyone driving the coast should really consider giving this a try. All you need is a whole chicken, cup of dipping juice and something cold to drink.“

“Pho Vientiane…food truck extraordinaire
I admit that I’m a bit of a foodie and I’m always looking for new and tasty places to eat. I have even traveled abroad in anticipation of experiencing the local cuisine.
I was originally introduced to the world of phở by a Vietnamese friend a lifetime ago. I have been exploring the variations of the iconic dish ever since. My favourite restaurant in the world is Vietnamese-owned and operated, back in Canada.
While visiting the Islands, I only recently had occasion to spontaneously stop and try “Pho Vientiane,” a long-time frozen-in-place food truck—secreted along the Kamehameha Hwy, Hauula - on Oahu’s North Shore.
I was more than pleasantly surprised by the quality and selection of Vietnamese street food this wonderful eatery was offering.
The proprietors of this humble food truck were quintessentially customer service-focused.
The menu options are impressively diverse, especially considering the size of the space in which they are stored and prepared. The service was impressively expedient, and the quality and generous size of the offerings were extraordinary.
I was sufficiently impressed by Pho Vientiane to offer up five stars for the authentic tastes they offer. They are every bit as addictive as those I experienced in South Vietnam - back in the day.“

“Delicious and fresh seafood! We found this place yesterday and the owner was very nice and helpful in explaining the different menu options. We tried several types of poke, Ahi katsu, and chicken which were all so uniquely flavorful. I’d highly recommend finding the truck and trying the food if you’re in O’“

“UPDATE: went a 2nd time and was very disappointed. Charged an extra $3 just to change 1 of the tacos to a different protein (in the plate of 3 tacos), and the shrimp tacos didn’t taste nearly as good as last time. They tasted very average
The presentation of the guacamole and sour cream on the tacos was esthetically pleasing! Served with some lime to squeeze on them and corn tortillas!“

“If you're driving along the coast in Hawaii and start feeling hungry, you absolutely have to stop by! The food is truly delicious. The first dish I ordered was so incredibly good that I actually ordered a second helping of the exact same thing while I was still eating the first one!“

“Decent Pineapple/Coconut/Banana/Strawberry smoothies for $10; $5 extra if you want it served in a pineapple. Next to the Giovanni’s shrimp truck. Some picnic tables. Part of a group of food and clothing Subtracting a star because restrooms out of order.“

“Got the Chicken street taco plate, medium salsa, and it was pretty good, the ultimate judge being my son who ate most of it. Good fresh ingredients, great tortillas and sauce, service was mostly just pointing to a sign to share what you wanted. Of the three places we ate (here, Giovanni’s, and Huli Huli chicken) in this food truck area, I’d call this the best one of the three, would def eat here again.“

“Ate here for the first time two years ago and it was literally my first time ever having pad Thai and it changed me. We ate the food at sunset beach across the street and it was a core memory. Coming back two years later made me nervous it wouldn’t live up to the hype we had set but alas, it was even better than we remembered. Absolutely worth getting, but let Thai food at sunset beach be your new core memory!“

“I stopped by Kampuchea Kitchen while driving through the North Shore near Kahuku, and it turned out to be a great place to experience Cambodian flavors on Oahu. The restaurant is small and casual, but it stands out because Cambodian cuisine is not very common in Hawaii.
The menu features a mix of traditional Cambodian dishes built around rice, grilled meats, and flavorful sauces. The dishes tend to balance savory, slightly sweet, and tangy elements, which gives the food a distinctive flavor compared to other Southeast Asian cuisines.
One thing that stood out to me was the freshness of the ingredients. The meals are straightforward but satisfying, with well-seasoned meats and simple sides that complement the main dishes.
The atmosphere feels very local and relaxed. The restaurant is more of a neighborhood-style spot rather than a large dining space, which fits well with the laid-back North Shore environment.
Service during my visit was friendly and welcoming, and the food arrived quickly after ordering.
What I appreciated most about Kampuchea Kitchen is how it introduces Cambodian flavors in a very approachable way. It is a nice change of pace from the many other food options along the North Shore.
Overall, Kampuchea Kitchen is a great stop if you are driving through Kahuku and want to try something a little different while exploring the area.“

“I ordered the fried calimari and the green chicken curry. The green curry was amazing and served hot as it should be. It took a bit to cool down, but it was worth the wait. Meanwhile, I was going to start on the calamari and basically I received 1 big clumped up ball of calamari. Seems she just took it out of the freezer and threw it in the fryer. It tasted ok because the oil seemed mixed with other foods. The worst part was halfway when I bit into it, I got a clump of raw flour. I wasn't wanting a royal greeting or any for that matter, but it seemed like I was bothering her and keeping her from being on her phone. Would I go back, maybe. The curry was really good and I actually want to try the pad thai if I do pass by there again.“

“Cool place to sit and eat especially after catching the sunset at Shark's Cove across the street. Wake up this special of the day which was Marlin tacos, the fish was a touch overdone but not too bad. The sauce they put on top really set off the taco“

“Delicious and substantial pies! Flaky and buttery crust and juicy inside. They have the best crust ever. We tried so far chicken curry and steak onion. Delicious!!! You can freeze them reheat an air fryer. So good! Their puffs are, I think, better than Liliha Bakery because it is not overly sweet. Delicious! Highly recommend it.“
