I was their first customer on December 27. Firstly, If you look around you realize you are in a real community neighborhood spot. A beloved restaurant situated within a loving community. Five stars for Hukilau Cafe! We devoured a fantastic breakfast here this morning. The bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich was a classic done right: fluffy eggs, crispy bacon, melty cheese, and all tucked into a perfectly toasted roll. The ham and cheese grilled sandwich was a symphony of savory ham and tangy cheese toasted to golden perfection. But the star of the show was the French toast. We loved our food from the Hukilau Cafe! We ordered breakfast before going on a hike and it was super filling, delicious, and both dishes were very generous portions. We ordered the Hungry Hawaiian and the Veggie Breakfast with grilled potatoes. The service was great, they were very friendly and we will be going back when we visit in the future.
