I went to get an ice cream the other day. Service was great and prompt. I got one scoop of mint ice cream and it was a pretty big scoop which was surprising in a good way. The only thing that I didn’t really like was the fact that I couldn’t see what the flavors were any where and I had to ask. It would be nice to be able to see the flavors without asking. It was also kind of inconvenient to get to because of construction but that isn’t the snack bars fault. Other than that no complaints and would definitely recommend!

The food is very good. The portions of the sandwiches may differ from a worker to another though. Also, the grill always closes 10 minutes before actual closing time which is 3pm.What's the point of putting a closing time at 3pm outside and closing at 2:50. Change the closing time or close on time.Thank you.

We ate at this student/faculty hangout and enjoyed the food as well as the campus feel. There are several areas where you can order food. One is a sandwich/ice cream area and the other has burgers, fish and chips and other fare. Being on an island I had been choosing shrimp or fish at other restaurants so I almost shied away from the fish and chips but decided to go with it. I was happy I did! The fish pieces were big and they were fresh and hot. There were plenty of fries too and the price was great - $7.20 per meal. That's way cheaper than we found in restaurants around the island and the food was just as good or better. Even if you aren't on campus for something, go park in visitor parking and eat at the Surfsider. It's close to the PCC and the Laie Temple. Walk to the front of the McKay Building on the flag circle and look at the amazing mosaic depicting past president of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, David O. McKay, at a flag raising at a local elementary school. It is very big and beautiful and I hope it is preserved for many generations!

Nice and comfortable place to eat if you are visiting BYUH. Food is good, and prices are the best you'll find. Service was great as well.

Pretty solid food at a decent price. Has a grill, sandwich bar, ice cream, and wok. Great location to spend time with friends.

Workers are unprofessional, lack of training, they just act like they don't know what they are doing. Terrible management and leadership, never help out, only watch from behind even when there are not enough staff and a lot of customers. Never have enough staff, never, always short of workers.. Tables are not clean, AC is too cold. Food is reasonably priced for the name, but the taste is just not good. Not a lot of options. Would not recommend if you are not students of the school.

So many changes but still the same feeling from long ago. Teriburger still yum.
