Super busy, very local hangout.Eat and leave, they're so busy you don't sit and converse over coffee afterwards.Very local style plates:Kalua pork omelettes, oxtail soup, fried rice omelettes.
Service was good but the food was not unfortunately. The loco moco had 4-5 hairs in it. The Kalua pig and Lomi salmon didn’t taste right. I ended up being sick for the rest of the day stomach was aching and I was nauseous after eating the food. Hopefully they can ensure these things are fixed going forward not a great experience to be sick on vacation from food.
Simple no-frills restaurant with great breakfast items to choose from. Check out the banana pancakes I munched on. You must try this little place out. I know I'll be back!
We stopped here for breakfast on the way to the airport. Convenient location and seated quickly. No frills basic interior. Breakfast food was good and served quickly at a reasonable price.
Aloha! Great local food. Stopped here after it was recommended by the staff at Kauai Harley Davidson.. Dani's is great local foods..Remember to shop small, spend your dollars where it counts with the local shops. Keep your dollars local, help the locals not the big corporation tourism machine.. Mahalo
Had the Dani's Special omelet! Great service, clean, social distanced, and good food! We totally enjoyed it!
Always good food and great employees. I always enjoy when Holiday works; she makes you feel at home.
Seeing that my hotel's restaurant did not open until 7, I decided to venture out and find a local spot. Oh My Goodness. This is where the locals eat. The staff is very friendly and food very good (for breakfast)
We wanted to try local restaurants when possible. This restaurant was busy so we weren't surprised that we would have to wait for a table (just two in our party.) However, the attitude of of those overseeing seating was not particularly friendly to put it charitably. We were finally seated but the service remained the same. The food was unremarkable and we both felt we wouldn't return.
Had breakfast here with our three kids. Their Loco Moco, off the hook!!! Besides that,, I have to say, as the kids do, meh. We had two cheese omelets, and two chocolate chip pancakes.I must say, only order two pancakes, at most. One would be plenty for most. Don’t let them bring you three, price goes way up.The cheese omelets, were, missing the love. They tasted and were, plain. For the price, I expected at least to taste the love in food. That I did not.Cafeteria set up describes it best. Decor leaves a lot to wish for. Chairs are plain, and lay out follows suit. With the amount of locals, and tourists I saw in and out, along with limited staff, they should have enough to get a painting or two. It’s as if they had prices less than tourist spots, but high enough that you expected something amazing.Oh, coffee is as light as sunshine. Don’t order it. And they run out of hash browns by 10 am. So get in early, and don’t forget, don’t order the coffee.

Local breakfast and lunch spot in Lihue. Was perfect for breakfast on the way to the airport. Opens early which also worked well. My wife had a BLT sandwich and I had an eggs, toast and Portuguese sausage plate, both very good. With one coffee the bill was under $20. The decor is spartan but the service is friendly. We were the only two “tourists” is the place which had a line out the door when we left.
Quiet local diner, accepts all major credit cards. Prices are pretty reasonable for being an island restaurant. I had the moco loco which was good, their pepper water is very good, I recommend trying it on your food if you come here, adds a nice kick to your meal.
Still onolicious local food, and friendly fast service. Not too much places you can get laulau and eggs for breakfast with a side of poi. Their beef stew and rice is good too. My husband's go to is the Hamburger Steak Loco Moco with over easy eggs.
I was really looking forward to having a local Hawaiian dining experience on Kauai. This was not the place. The food was mediocre, the ambience totally lacking, and the service was far from friendly. I am not one to write reviews, but felt compelled to write about this place as it was very disappointing. I can overlook a lot, but when people don’t seem to appreciate your business, there’s no reason to go there. Would not recommend or ever go there again.
Our breakfast was delicious. I had two eggs, rice, the special pineapple sausage and coffee. The wait staff was very friendly. Hometown Hawaiian.
