JJ s I think of JJs staff as friends, in March of 2020 My Daughter got married in the park, out side of JJs Joslyn and the other staff made every thing so special, I have been at JJs for every Supper Bowl since 2008. live in Maine, but I think of JJs as a second faimly. I hope you will reopen It Your staff is all about Aloha and makes everyone feel special Please pass this on to the Staff I miss you all and I hope you have a very special Christmas .
Closed out of business saw a note somewhere thar he couldn't afford to stay open during covid. Wal,Ed over they are closed and phone # has strange message
When I used to work on the cruise ship JJ's was another place I would stop for weekly meals. Food was excellent as well as the drinks. If you don't know, the island of Kauai has a lot of wild chickens roaming the island. One day I was at JJ's and got my chicken fingers and the chicken must have known I was eating its relative because it started freaking out. The host was funny with the chickens because she got a squirt gun after them. Friendly staff
Great food, relaxing atmosphere?
As a Professional Real Estate Broker, I have found this to be a perfect place to take my clients, My husband and I love to go there for breaking the day lunch for a great meal at the end of the day. Location is excellent and the staff is wonderful.
Not open at 4:30 PM although Google said they were open.
While the location was fabulous, the restaurant was very worn and the food wasn't fresh... We were both ill following the meal.
The service was excellent. The view is outstanding. The food is delicious. My husband and I were immediately seated and welcomed.
Ran into the owner of this place the other day and asked when he would be reopening his restaurant in Anchor Cove. He said he could not afford to pay the utilities to keep it open with all the visitors, gone for so long. So sad to see a small, local business not make it in a location they have been at for so long with such a great view. In fact, only the ABC store was allowed to stay open in this shopping center since March 2020 just because they sell a few groceries along with other things.
I suppose you could consider this a sports bar with a bay view. We found the offerings pretty bland but the service was adequate and the restaurant is convenient to many motels.

Place is super good. We ended up getting a couple drinks, apps, and split some fish.
Our first surprise in Lihue, Kauai, was that so many restaurants are closed on Sunday. By the time we discovered that, reservations at the few remaining venues we found interesting, were long gone. We tried J.J.’s Broiler for dinner mainly because it was near the water and tables were available. The service was good, but otherwise things were pretty much not bad, but not note-worthy. The calamari was good, but the dipping sauce didn’t pair well with it. The mahi-mahi with provolone sounded interesting, but was no more than acceptable. Most disappointing was that, while prices were what you might expect for a beach view, from the table we had, after dark, there wasn’t much to see of the bay.
This place is a dive, but the mahi sandwich hubby and I shared is one of the best seafood sandwiches we have had-and we love seafood! We happened upon this place while exploring the surrounding area, and we are glad we did!
Absolutely stunning view with average bar food and stiff drinks. My mai tai was good, but the appetizers we got could have used some more flavor, especially the batter on the calamari. Come here for the views.
Pretty basic pub style food. A bit pricy for me for what you received. Chicken tenders for Gary with chips and for me I had crab cakes with spinach salad. The salad was boring as it was basically spinach. However the crab cakes were delicious. We sat outside and watched the surfers. Definitely a place for ALL ages.
