My friends and I arrived before they opened at 11 am and it smelled GREAT. I ordered a small combination, because if I'm going to have Kako's Saimin, I figured I'd go for everything ... but small. I remember back in little kid time being able to eat a large saimin. Thanks Marcie for a great lunch, quick service, and taking a moment of your busy day to chat! It's a small restaurant that is only open for lunch. There's quite a bit of parking in front that's shared with other businesses.Am I biased? Heck yeah! My grandma took my hubby and I to saimin for lunch (after she took us out for breakfast and fed us fresh fruits from her garden as a snack) on our honeymoon ... and we still made room for Kako's saimin. Love you and miss you, Grandma Tamura! It's just off one of the main roads in Lihue, so as I remember, there were Pokestops that I could hit from the restaurant.

This place is only open for lunch and you had better go early. She closes right after lunch. This is a family owned restaurant. She makes the best saimin ever. Wontons and roast pork are yummy. Even the noodles are house made
