Held on Saturdays, this is a must see place when in Kauai. Market stands for fresh vegetables, fruits, meats, fish, arts and crafts and fresh made local delicacies. We loaded up on native fruits and had Sugarloaf pineapple pops to top off our visit.
One star only for my disappointment that the market is "temporarily closed" according to the inconspicuously placed sign. Be aware that the website gives no indication of this temporary closure Was excited to go & hoped it'd be like the Maui market. Checked the website, got up early & drove from the south shore only to find an empty parking lot. I only happened to see the sign after I'd driven around the lot. Seemed to be another market about a block away but it was impossible get near, much less to park.
Visited this morning, please be advised that this large farmers market is no longer in the parking lot of the community college. It is located across the street in a large grassy area behind the Harley Davidson store.
Excellent Farmers Market on Saturdays
Excellent Farmers Market on Saturdays
A great college experience for all.
We really enjoyed walking around this market. It was located near the community college so there was plenty of parking. There was tons of fresh local produce, plants, seeds from the University accompanied with knowledge and growing information, cheese, and other homemade foods. We were expecting to see more crafts, but it was mostly food. There were free samples and it was a well-organized market.
This farmers market is open every Saturday from 9-1 and is conveniently located in the Lihue area right by the community college. A great place to get locally grown fruits and vegetables as well as sorbets, honey, and good Filipino, Hawaiian, and Thai food. We had some incredible dragon fruit, kiwis and papaya and highly recommend this farmers market if you find yourself free on a Saturday morning.
Nice little farmers market Got a little bit of everything The pineapple ice cream is a must It’s pricey but worth Is soo good
Offering a variety of classes in general academia and vocational education, KCC is a great option for residents of Kauai who want to become trade certified. Or to students who want a cheaper stepping stone alternative leading into the UH system.

Oh my gosh, the farmers market is amazing! Gorgeous flowers, delicious foods, what more could you ask for. The produce is top notch! During our vacation on Kauai we made several trips to the community market, perfect for early morning runs! Plenty of parking available too!
Love supporting Farmer's market so made sure to make visiting Markets part of our Trip this was the best one I highly recommend the white pineapple frosty from sugarloaf and Wabi Sabi had the BEST vegetarian banh mi I've ever had, my husband (not vegetarian) and myself still talk about it months later.
Not fabulous, but definitely worth a stop. Huge variety of local produce. Interesting foods. Not overly llarge, but parking is free and just a short stroll away. Loved the live music that filled the air. It's not a distraction that you are near the community college. We'd stop again.
I love Farmer's Markets in Hawaii especially since I love tropical fruits. So I was excited to see that we would be in town for the Saturday morning KCC one. Although we arrived about 40 minutes after it opened on a rainy morning, it was packed. With stands selling practically any tropical fruit that your heart desires, succulents, and food trucks including the Hanalei Taro and Juice Co. that sells plate lunches, fresh taro, and poi, it is one stop shopping.
