Deeeelicious. I had to come to Lihue for work last week. Best burgers on Kauai by far. Service was pretty fast and friendly. Place was not crowded but I came in at 2pm so maybe that's why. Brought my wifey and she thought the her burger was awesome too. I'll stop here again when I have another work project in Kauai.

We ordered two burgers and the Furikake Fries. The Hapa Burger had a good pineapple, Sriracha slaw in it that was tasty and not too sweet. Also the bacon was nice and crispy, which was is what I look for. The Kenji Burger was a teriyaki burger with condiments. The flavors were good and melted together nicely. We also got the furikake fries that went well with the burgers. All the food was pretty good and we enjoyed them.
Note that everything was ala carte, burgers did not come with fries. You need to order them separately and they come in a regular side dish.
We went into to the restaurant to sit down and eat. Server took our orders in a timely fashion and the food did not take long to get to us. We did not see the server until we got the checks. Did not refill drinks or waters while we were there. Also was not asked how we liked the burgers, they came medium done. Not a big deal, the flavors were still great, but I do like them a little more well done.
We will probably be back on another trip and visit Keji's again.
My husband and I visited Kauai with another couple. This was our 1st and their 2nd time in Kauai. They've been to this restaurant before and wanted us to experience the food. I Had the Truffle burger with Furikake fries the 1st time we stopped in. And then tried the Misoyaki Fish sandwich when we stopped in a few days later. Everything was so delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect from the fries but LOVED them! Great, friendly service both times.

The Kenji burger was hands down one of the best burgers I've ever had. The furikake fries were also fantastic. Staff was great and food was reasonably priced. We met a couple that has lived on the island for 30 years that comes every week, I can definitely see why. We'll definitely be returning our next time on the island!

I can see why some people might like the flavors of the burgers here, but I found it to be way too rich for me. It took about 15-20 minutes for the burger and fries to come out, longer then expected. The furikake fries are a good idea, but again very rich sauces.

If you’re in Lihue and craving a solid, flavorful bite, Kenji Burger is absolutely worth a stop. The burger was delicious—juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right. You can tell they put real care into getting the flavors to pop without overcomplicating things.
The fries deserve a special mention too—both the regular fries and the Furikake fries were surprisingly good. Crispy, hot, and perfectly salted, they’re the kind of fries you can’t stop eating.
We also tried the salads, and they were fresh, well-balanced, and far better than the usual afterthought you get at burger joints.
Overall, Kenji Burger nails that hard-to-find combo of casual, creative, and consistently tasty. Highly recommended for a quick, satisfying meal in Lihue.

Gross burger: I have never been repulsed by a burger. But after eating the truffle burger at kenji, I can confidently say a burger so weird tasting exists in this world. The mushrooms in the truffle burger was weird, awful, slightly fishy, but entirely disgusting. The burger was full of that crap. We had to scrape all the mushrooms off the burger for it to be decent.
Gross chicken katsu: the batter simply fell off the chicken, exposing a slimy cut of chicken. Again, like the mushrooms in the burger, the chicken katsu was an affront to taste buds.
Saucy salad: dang, hold off the dressing. The salad was drenched in dressing. Like oozing liquid on every leaf. Disgusting.
