Awesome burger and the atmosphere was cool - you wouldn't know you're in a strip mall.

After delivering our meal to the wrong table where those guests picked it up and cut into it, they attempted twice to re-serve the same meal to our table. Very questionable sanitation if that’s how they operate.

Good food here, but the woman who seated my wife and I acted as if we offended her by walking in. The service she gave us was rude, inattentive, and quite strange. She was happy and chipper to talk to her other employees, but when it came to taking our order she was cold and inattentive. Would’ve loved to spend more money here because the food was pretty good. But sitting here for 40 minutes and not so much as a refill or check in to see if we were taken care of took the taste out of my mouth.

Kenji Burger Lihue: A Pleasant SurpriseReview:By chance, we stumbled upon Kenji Burger in Lihue, and it turned out to be a hidden gem. The burgers were not only delicious but also generously sized. What impressed us even more was the reasonable price tag attached to these mouthwatering burgers. In fact, they were even more affordable than the often overrated food trucks we encountered during our time in Hawaii. The quality of the ingredients and the flavorful combinations made Kenji Burger stand out among the dining options in Lihue. If you're in the area and craving a satisfying burger that won't break the bank, Kenji Burger is definitely worth a visit.

It is sometimes hard to find places open on certain days of the week on Kauai! We stumbled upon Kenji’s in one of the shopping centers and were pleasantly surprised! Food was good, service was excellent and looks like they open seven days a week! There were some vegetarian/vegan options that made me very happy!Vegetarian options: Veggie burrito and I believe they had impossible burgers available too!

The service was greet, definitely some of the better service we received on the Island of Kauai. The restaurant itself was very small, perhaps only 8 small table which is expected in a strip mall location. It was clean and the decor was complementary to the name and brand. The food was good— not outstanding by any stretch, very expensive for what you get. Overall I would eat there again if there wasn’t other options and I was passing by.
Sorry Yelpers but you got this one wrong. The Kenji Burger and the Misoyaki Sandwich were both too sweet, slather with sauce, making the bun all soggy and way too messy to eat. The same with the sauce Furikake fries where it was wayyyyy too sweet. It didn't taste like fries anymore. We love fries in general but this one we could not even finish.

We ordered a Poke bowl and a Hapa burger to share. Worth every penny. Delicious, fresh food, great atmosphere. I can see why Guy recommends this joint! Thanks for a great experience.

The Kenji Burger and Hapa Burger were awesome. We had them with a side salad and shared furikake fries and Lucky Cat beer. 10/10 will return to eat the rest of their menu items.
