Tip Top Motel, Cafe, And Bakery

Probably one of the best breakfasts on the island. It’s a sort of dive but that’s eclipsed by the amazing food and service. The banana pancakes were absolutely delicious. I loved the fried rice too. Highly recommended.

This review is for the restaurant only - the food was very good. I got the oxtail soup and my husband got the beef stew.

The oxtail soup was very tender and delicious and my husband thought that the stew was one of the best beef stews he's ever had.

The service was efficient and quick. They weren't too friendly / talkative, but they got the job done well.

Overall, very good restaurant and we'd go back.

Absolutely I’m love with the oxalis soup the first time decades ago when we first came to Kauai and now back for the 3rd time!!! A must for all foodie! This time, I also try the loco mock in which the sweet waitress says is the best in Kauai.. 5 stars for the food!

The small window ac units barely cut it in terms of cooling, but I was able to sleep, the room is clean and the beds are decent. I wish there was a mini fridge. Overall, room is nice given the price you pay. Honestly would give 4 stars for a fridge.

Like most reviewers, we didn't stay at the motel, we just ate at the Cafe. I took my boyfriend here for brunch on his birthday. This is a local gem and I can see why! It was packed but service did not skip a neat. We were seated right away and had our order taken as soon as we were ready.

I ordered the small oxtail soup and a hadhbrown on the side. My boyfriend ordered the breakfast combo that included eggs, meal (he got bacon), Mac Nut Pancakes and a hash brown. I was so jealous of his delicious looking eggs that I ended up ordering one on the side and eating it over rice.

Shout out to the Lola that took our order. She was on top of it.

Everything was amazing. This was such a simple meal yet so delicious and one of our favorite meals on the trip.

P.S. the small order of oxtail soup is still a large portion of food! I didn't eat all the noodles.
