Checked into my room at the motel and saw 3 cockroaches within the first 10 minutes. Immediately left and found somewhere else to stay.
The Cafe serves a wonderful breakfast! Service is fast, the mac nut pancakes are great! It's not much to look at from the outside, but filled with locals because it's really good food a a fair price.
The only breakfast choice for us !!

This is the best place on this planet to eat oxtail soup . The food is so ono.
Our first room was without any windows but on request it was changed next day to a nicer room. In the end a positive experience, very good breakfast! Big pancakes!
Best oxtail soup. Probably my favorite dish of food ever. We changed our vacation activities around their opening times. I'd buy an airline ticket to Kauai just for the soup!
Clean and good for what it is. Definitely a budget motel but it’s clean, has a warm shower, TV and mini fridge. My room was a bit loud but that was just because of the people staying next to me.
Spacious place, but still buzzing with life. Service was prompt and the food was out fast. My only complaint was the generic hash browns. They used to make it shredded in the griddle and I would have liked that more.
Cafe is a local spot that runs at peak efficiency. Oxtail soup seems to be the favorite, but I didnt have the appetite so I got a deluxe cheeseburger for $8. Even after tax and tip out the door, this burger was a value competitor with in n out. It was that good.

Amazing contactless check in! Very clean! Great for a quick one night stay. The cafe was amazing as well, highly recommended the Locomoco!
The first night we found bed bugs, the room is very dirty, sheets not clean, do not stay here not worth the cheap price.
My review is based on the café, not the motel. I was recommended this cafe by a local. The food and service here is excellent! On my first visit I ordered the Roast Pork plate (which I forgot to take a picture) and enjoyed the meal so much that I came back to order the country style chicken (picture attached) plate to go, and it was very delicious! Parking here is challenging if you are not staying at the Motel but the effort to find parking is worth the time!!!
Best food we had in Kauai hands down. And we visited all the influencer recommended restaurants that are somewhat budget friendly. We ordered the famous oxtail soup and the loco moco. The oxtail soup was rich and heavenly.
Literally just layover for the oxtail soup and banana macadamia pancakes!
