“Pukalani Terrance Center is one of the last big shopping areas on your way up to Haleakala National Park, to the Haleakala Summit to watch the sunset. My husband and I stopped by this outdoor shopping center to pick up some food to eat while we watch the sunset. In this plaza, there is a Foodland Market (which seems to be the one and only place that sells spam musubi with the rice seasoned with furikaka. The other Foodland locations that I have visited on this island did not have it) which has a Starbucks inside, there is an Ace Hardware, a Post Office and a few small eateries.In order to use the public restrooms at this plaza, which are located next to Farmacy Health Bar (down a hallway), you will need to enter the following codes for the ladies and men's: ladies- 234. Gentlemen- 345. The restrooms are not the most cleanest but they were decent.It was nice that this plaza was here for us to pick up some food before heading up the summit to check out the sunset. We ended up picking up a few poke bowls at Foodland (so delicious and fresh) and would stop by here again if I was heading up towards the national park again.“

“If you're looking for shave ice in Maui, then hit this spot. Refreshing flavors and tons of options to choose from. I've tried the POG, Grape and Litchi flavors. Litchi was my top favorite. If you like mochi, don't forget to top yours with mochi on top. But the place is quite popular and there's always a wait but the line moves quickly though because their service is pretty quick!“

“Ate here once a few years ago and have been meaning to go back sooner. Went this past week like 3 times! We like their bahn mi sandwiches, Tan Tan Ramen, 6 minute egg and Mac Crack Fish Bowl. Their cook does a good job and all of the local wahines working the cafe’ are really nice!“

“My husband, daughter and I visited Sweet Hula in mid-June 2025 and had the best açaí bowls in Hawaii! We were in Maui for three days during the last leg of our trip and ate here every morning. During our vacation we visited three islands (Oahu, Island of Hawaii and Maui) and had Açaí bowls almost every morning. Sweet Hula ended up being our absolute favorite of the five different places we tried. The folks who helped us each day were the BEST. They always greeted us with a smile and were so sweet and kind. They accommodated any topping change requests that we needed and the bowls always came out quickly. The large size bowls were perfect for keeping us fueled up for a day full of hiking and swimming. The açaí base was perfectly frozen and the toppings were super fresh and generously portioned. We also had some of their delicious, fresh banana bread that was perfect to snack on throughout the day. We’ve been back home in NC for two weeks now and we still talk about the Sweet Hula bowls and how much we miss them. Please go visit the folks at Sweet Hula and let us live vicariously through you!! “The best ice cream I’ve had on the island and maybe ever. My wife would agree as well! Small batch, made in-house and very unique flavors that will appeal to everyone. Mia was so sweet to us and our daughter. Her service made me feel like she truly cared about our experience and for that, we will be back before we leave the island!“

“These are absolutely the best! We have been ordering them every week since a little before the pandemic started. They keep us healthy and vibrant. We like to drink them on their own as a healthy drink and sometimes as a mixer for happy hour. . I highly recommend that you try them.“

“We had a fantastic experience today at Beach Street Maui Shave Ice! From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing—so friendly and welcoming. We started our day with their delicious açaí bowls and bagels for breakfast, and everything was fresh and flavorful. Later in the afternoon, we came back to try their famous shave ice, and it did not disappoint!

The shave ice was incredible we tried HAWAIIAN RAINBOW, COCONUT MUD PIE, FIRECRACKER, and KIHEI SUNSET with vibrant flavors and fun toppings, definitely worth taking the time to try.
