“BEST açai bowls in Hawaii for me and the hubby! We were staying in Lahaina and came back to Sweet Hula 3 times just for their bowls. The girl at the front is also so sweet - she remembers our order and makes the Honolua bowl perfect for us every single time. It’s also such a nice vibe there - music, you’re sitting in the gardens, we loved this place. Whenever we come back to Maui, this will be our go to place, already looking for options back home. You’ve got to visit the place - the bowls are tasty, fresh, the açai is amazing , the toppings all of it ? love love love this place!“

“Ate here once a few years ago and have been meaning to go back sooner. Went this past week like 3 times! We like their bahn mi sandwiches, Tan Tan Ramen, 6 minute egg and Mac Crack Fish Bowl. Their cook does a good job and all of the local wahines working the cafe’ are really nice!“

“We are shave ice nerds and try shave ice whenever we are in Hawaii. This is in our top 3 across the islands. The mango syrup was incredible. Our coconut one needed a bit more and the gal mentioned even before we took it that we should come back for more syrup if it was dry. They were great. I like ice cream but it wasn't even needed because the ice was so smooth and the syrups so flavorful.“
“These are absolutely the best! We have been ordering them every week since a little before the pandemic started. They keep us healthy and vibrant. We like to drink them on their own as a healthy drink and sometimes as a mixer for happy hour. . I highly recommend that you try them.“

“Went here the other day. Very friendly and helpful. Good experience. Wonderful eats. Dutched Chocolate ice cream was very very good. Cookies were fantastic.
Kid-friendliness: My nephew is autistic. They made a real effort to answer all of his questions. They were very patient with him.“

“Thanks Maui Garden Cafe for your kindness in helping me to contact AAA, and in rescuing me and my 3-legged Nissan, and for charging my dead phone until the tow truck arrived. Thanks to your lending me your phone and your precise directions, I was able to return the rental car in Kihei, and was provided another Sentra to "break-in"..... Best Regards and Happy New Year!!! “We had a fantastic experience today at Beach Street Maui Shave Ice! From the moment we arrived, the staff was amazing—so friendly and welcoming. We started our day with their delicious açaí bowls and bagels for breakfast, and everything was fresh and flavorful. Later in the afternoon, we came back to try their famous shave ice, and it did not disappoint!
The shave ice was incredible we tried HAWAIIAN RAINBOW, COCONUT MUD PIE, FIRECRACKER, and KIHEI SUNSET with vibrant flavors and fun toppings, definitely worth taking the time to try.
Beach Street Maui Shave Ice is a must-visit when in Kihei—whether you’re grabbing breakfast or treating yourself to some shave ice, the quality and service make it an unforgettable stop!“

“This place is the cutest spot in Paia. Stopped in for breakfast before going and exploring the area.
They have free WiFi and the staff are chill and friendly.
I would spend by day here and is probably a great place in the evenings!“

“Absolutely. This is the one MUST STOP destination in the #roadtohana. Not for just the great coconuts, fruit or food but the chance to interact with Gale the owner and his crew. Truly enjoyed talking to him and learning a lot about Maui. 😍😍😍😍👏🏽“
“Amazing food but make sure you do take-out because the acoustics are terrible in the restaurant. Very unsettling when dining in.“

“After United Airlines cancelled our scheduled flight home nine hours after scheduled departure we were left to our own devices to locate lodging and transportation for the night since the Maui airport essentially closes down at 11 pm and the flight cancellation occurred at 10 pm. Fortunately, my wife was able to get the last two available rooms at the Marriott Courtyard near the airport and we got one of the last two cabs at the airport to transport us. The desk personnel were extremely friendly and understanding. The rooms were large, clean and well laid out. One room complaint though- the toilets are set on very short pedestals so it is painful for older, tall people to sit on the toilet seat. There is a small snack and beverage shop adjacent to the front desk and there is a bar area (closes at 10:30 to 11 pm) which also serves as a breakfast area in the am opposite the front desk. During the day they do have a free shuttle to and from the airport. There is a pool and nice grounds though due to our circumstances we were not around to use them. Room prices are high ($580 plus per room after taxes and fees). Not sure whether that is normal price or due to our circumstances (either way we were happy to have rooms to sleep in).“

“Pukalani Terrance Center is one of the last big shopping areas on your way up to Haleakala National Park, to the Haleakala Summit to watch the sunset. My husband and I stopped by this outdoor shopping center to pick up some food to eat while we watch the sunset. In this plaza, there is a Foodland Market (which seems to be the one and only place that sells spam musubi with the rice seasoned with furikaka. The other Foodland locations that I have visited on this island did not have it) which has a Starbucks inside, there is an Ace Hardware, a Post Office and a few small eateries. In order to use the public restrooms at this plaza, which are located next to Farmacy Health Bar (down a hallway), you will need to enter the following codes for the ladies and men's: ladies- 234. Gentlemen- 345. The restrooms are not the most cleanest but they were decent. It was nice that this plaza was here for us to pick up some food before heading up the summit to check out the sunset. We ended up picking up a few poke bowls at Foodland (so delicious and fresh) and would stop by here again if I was heading up towards the national park again.“
