I used to love the shoyu chicken at a popular restaurant in Lahaina and was so disappointed that the chicken there is now nowhere near as good.
Then we found this place and I was so happy to find delicious shoyu chicken, and in a mini size that didn't overwhelm me. Also so affordable.
The staff were so friendly and kind. We will be back for sure.
Perfect little getaway restaurant to relax laugh sealed friends the food was wonderful
Great for kids. Affordable choices. Friendly service. Shoyu chicken is ono 😋
Love this place so much! Always so good. Loco moco is bombbbb. They are always so friendly and service is super quick and easy. If you’re looking for an easy bite in Makawao come here!
Amazing local diner
Servers are extremely welcoming, hosputable and friendly
Food is extremely cheap, freshly made and unique.
Reccomend the Paniolo Burger, amazing homemade barbecue sauce.
In the middle of Makawao and is in a generally nice and safe area
Parking can be difficult if unlucky. Bathrooms are across the little strip in an isolated little alleyway. Not the best, prepare ahead of time!
Good food. Good vibes. Mahalo 🤙🏻
What a great little restaurant with several options for food and drinks. The locally grown food was awesome and so were the people that cooked it. The staff are so friendly and happy.
Awesome place, great energy, and family team, which made a great experience. Beef is local.
Highly recommend the Shoyu chicken and seasoned beef brisket. The Mac salad was also delicious.
Stopped in for a late breakfast. Table had a regular American breakfast, waffles, pancakes and I had the brisket moko loco. All the food was good. The brisket was nicely smoked and tender. The gravy was tasty. The atmosphere is a bit of a dive diner but everything was clean and the staff were friendly. It absolutely is a family run business and that, plus the good food means it is a great place to stop for a bite.

Service was great and food came out fast. The resto is also cute. The shoyu chicken has great flavor but giving this a 3 star for the beef brisket they gave us, it was literally a slab of fat with some strains of meat on it. Had to throw 80% of the meat away as it was just fat.

Shoyu chicken was so good. Also love that you can get smaller portions so that you can try multiple dishes instead of just one big dish. Staff was friendly.

I've lived in Makawao for 32 years and the first time I've eaten here (waitress said they've only been at this location for 2 years). My brother was visiting from Oahu so we walked around Makawao looking for a place to eat. Staff was friendly & the food was ono.
Great food, great people!
