I read this restaurant was owned by women and they are vegetarians. They do serve pork, beef, and chicken. Just about every single dish can be made vegan. What they call a veggie mix can be put inside of the taco, enchilada, tostada, chimichanga, and so forth. The veggie mix has yams in it. I got the chimichanga with a veggie mix —no sour cream or cheese. They do not offer plant-based sour cream or cheese. The fresh pico de gallo salsa was good. It had a little bit of a kick. You have to pay for chips and salsa. The beans needed garlic, onion, and salt. Very bland. The rice and beans are all vegetarian/vegan. The restaurant is in a little town that is super old and it is a cowboy /cowgirl community. Would I return here to eat again? Absolutely. The hostess and wait staff were efficient and friendly. it is a very busy place.

Lived here 20 years and never really liked this place. Mediocre, bland flavors, slow service, great location. Milagros in Paia has much better food. Or there's an awesome Mexican food truck up in Kula by La Provence

Terrible. Carnitas shouldn't be dry and bland. Would not recommend this place.

I've been to Polli’s in Makawao several times, and every visit has been a great one. The bartenders and staff are always so helpful and attentive—it really makes the difference. Polli’s is an amazing spot for family and friends to gather, enjoy great food and drinks, and soak in that unique upcountry vibe. The local feel of the place stands out, and the atmosphere is just right.

I highly recommend the tacos—they’re a must-try and definitely stand out compared to other restaurants on Maui. The prices are super fair, which is a big plus. My waitress, Shana, went above and beyond as usual. That kind of service really makes a dining experience memorable.

Thanks, Polli’s, for consistently delivering such a great time!

When you have spent the day driving the road to Hana and return to the other side of the island on a Monday at 8PM, head here. Such a great atmosphere! And amazing service! The server, Jessica, was knowledgeable as to what could be made vegan. The salsa was yummy. The food was perfect after a long day driving and hiking. This is not a tourist town, so even better!

We went to eat after golf and it was nice. It was happy hour and it was very crowded, loud and had a lot of atmosphere. Everything was good. If you are in this area of the island it is a good option.

Go in with the understanding that this a haole’s version of Mexican food and you’ll be fine. I must say that the chips and queso are pretty amazing, the service is good and staff is pleasantly friendly.

Kiana was lovely, an absolute delight. She was friendly and radiated joy. You can tell she really enjoys her work- serving up love!

Food
We started with the tres amigos which included salsa, guacamole, and queso dip with chips (warning-it’s easy to fill up on the chips and salsa). I ordered a non- alcoholic Michelada drink- delicious. For our main dishes I ordered the shredded beef burrito, which was outstanding and my partner had the half order of baby back ribs which he enjoyed as was very happy he only ordered the 1/2 size.

Great ambiance and good vibes. We will definitely be back!
