We enjoyed finding this establishment in Makawao. The store has been in business for over 100 years. We loved having their cinnamon sugar malasadas and trying out the long John’s. When we come back we want to get one of their cakes that everyone was waiting for.

The donuts were good, the butter rolls were mid, and the selection was very limited by 10am. Next time we'll try the malasadas and creme puffs! Hopefully we can make it before the pies sell out again!
I've been a customer for decades. Komoda's Long John Donuts use to be the best but now they don't put as much filling inside. Cutting costs maybe but not as ono for the customers. Other selections like stick donuts are as good as always. 🙂🤙

Besides the main items, the bakery also serves cream puffs, cocoa puffs, stick doughnuts, butter rolls, and other familiar baked goods, many of which are sold individually for around $10 minimum with card payment. Despite being a simple place, its reputation is strong, and many say it offers the best baked goods on the island.
