I read this restaurant was owned by women and they are vegetarians. They do serve pork, beef, and chicken. Just about every single dish can be made vegan.
What they call a veggie mix can be put inside of the taco, enchilada, tostada, chimichanga, and so forth. 
The veggie mix has yams in it.

Lived here 20 years and never really liked this place. Mediocre, bland flavors, slow service, great location. Milagros in Paia has much better food. Or there's an awesome Mexican food truck up in Kula by La Provence
I've been to Polli’s in Makawao several times, and every visit has been a great one. The bartenders and staff are always so helpful and attentive—it really makes the difference. Polli’s is an amazing spot for family and friends to gather, enjoy great food and drinks, and soak in that unique upcountry vibe. The local feel of the place stands out, and the atmosphere is just right.
