The owner/ bartender is amazing, with wonderful mixology skills! I loved every drink she made me. This restaurant is now called The Lanai. Food can be hit or miss. The salads are great and so are the burgers. Although one burger I got had onions that were completely charred rather than caramelized. The mac salad was a bit bland. Overall a really nice experience though. There are a ton of games you can play like pool, ladder ball, corn hole, etc. There is an indoor and outdoor area. Lots of space for fun!

I had an extremely disappointing experience here recently. After waiting 40 minutes for my meal, it was served with an ingredient I am highly allergic to, despite informing the staff beforehand. When I sent it back, instead of preparing a new meal, they simply removed the allergen and sent the same dish back, which is completely unacceptable. When I pointed this out and requested a new meal, the staff responded unprofessionally and dismissively. Shockingly, this is the second time this has happened. The first instance occurred when the restaurant was nearly empty, leaving no excuse for such a mistake. This level of negligence is alarming, especially for individuals with severe allergies.

I’ve been to Kahuna Lanai a couple of times since the management change, and unfortunately, both visits left me disappointed. The new menu just isn’t up to the standard it used to be. Not only have prices gone up, but the quality of the food doesn’t justify the cost. The flavors are lacking, and the portions don’t seem as generous as they were before. It’s frustrating because this used to be a great spot, but now it feels like you’re paying more for less. I hope they make some improvements, but for now, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The food at Kahuna Sports Bar and Grill was good, and the inside dining area was clean. However, the Lani wasn’t as clean as I would have liked, and the bathroom had some serious issues.
As my photos show, the AC vent was caked with lint, indicating a long-overdue deep cleaning. Lint scattered on the floor further highlighted their lack of attention to cleanliness.
To make matters worse, there was no soap in the bathroom, and the garbage can was overpoweringly full. You might think the restaurant was bustling with people, causing a strain on the staff to keep up with cleaning. But no, I was the lone patron. They had all the time in the world to ensure the place was spotless. Instead, the waiter was on their phone, sitting down.
Kahuna Sports Bar and Grill, please match your cleanliness standards to the quality of your food. Otherwise, I’m left wondering if your kitchen is as unkempt as your restroom.

The food is phenomenal. The atmosphere, phenomenal. The people who work there, phenomenal. They are doing so much with what they got. I recommend getting the My Milkshake Shandy and the Pasta Alfredo with salmon.
Shout out to Sharron carrying the motivation of the whole bar on her back, absolutely killing it every night I’ve seen her. She’s quick being the only person working there and checks in when she isn’t pouring a drink with one hand and opening Heinekens with the other.
Rose is great at what she does and seems to really care about the vibes and feels and what would bring Marines in. She’s done so much to make Kahuna’s feel more like a bar since the reopening.
I don’t know much bout the servers cuz I’m always at the bar but I see them zipping around everywhere. They are also good people and are great at what they do!
Can’t forget about Sasha, she was there when it first reopened and she also contributed to me becoming a regular.
Overall, this place is amazing. I spend most nights there just to say hi to everyone. The people there are truly something special. I cannot wait for Karaoke on Monday again.
The only reason I rated it a 4 star is solely due to the fact comedy night was kinda a flop and to no fault of anyone who works there, just not a good turnout and the comedians that night were kinda a lil flat. Woulda liked to see more crowd work.
Also, the smoke thing, no idea what he’s talking about.

I got to experience Kahuna’s before the reopening and the place knocked it out of the park. Awesome food, great service, entertaining environment.
Unfortunately, that is no longer present. Walking into a smoke-filled empty restaurant is rough, but not being greeted at a bar with ten people sat at it for over fifteen minutes is wild. I met a group of friends there for drinks, seeing as they had arrived there nearly an hour before me for dinner, and still had not received their food when I got there. My last buddy to get his food waited a total of 55 minutes for a plate of nachos (the place was dead) just for the order to be wrong. The short-haired blonde that must be the new manager joked about it, insisted he try them, and then gave him the correct order 20 minutes later after another customer was served the wrong nachos. It was an obvious mix-up, but at that point the gelatinous pork he had to eat in the meantime had spoiled everyone’s appetite and nobody wanted them anymore. My buddy was charged full price for his nachos and his drinks. The guys that did get served the correct food left hungry, as the serving sizes of food have shrunken significantly and prices have went up, but they said their food was alright, just not worth the time and cost. I highly recommend Panda Express for grub, and maybe this place is still worth grabbing a drink and playing pool at when the smoke isn’t as thick as it was the other night.
My heart bleeds for the FOH staff that have to apologize and deal with such an awkward environment.
