One minor refinement: some dishes leave guests to construct their own bites. A more controlled composition could better showcase the chef’s intended balance of flavors and textures. Overall, an inventive, refined, and memorable experience deserving of five stars.”

“We celebrated my wife’s birthday at this place with $125 menu. Most of the food was good. We love the Hokkaido scallop and Toro(?) with a touch of Yuzu Kosho (in picture). “We celebrated a big anniversary at Pai and WOW - they made it extra special. We did the four course menu with wine pairings. The service was top notch. The food was inspired, creative, delicious, and locally sourced. Though the portions of each dish looked small, it was more than enough food and so delicious you wanted to eat every bite! The wine pairings were spot on, absolutely perfect with our chosen courses. The space has such a lovely vibe - clean and modern, but comfortable and well appointed. There really isn't another dining experience quite like this on the island. Justine and Kevin have created such a beautiful place with incredible food and service. Pai is definitely a must-try restaurant. We will definitely be back.”

The quality is unmatched—the fish is incredibly fresh, the cuts are perfect (great texture, no stringy pieces), and the flavors are perfectly balanced. Everything we tried was just ridiculously good. “The ladies who work here are very sweet. They give you extra smoothie in a little cup. The smoothies are the best I’ve ever had and the fruit is delicious. If you buy a 32 oz you can keep the jar and bring it back for $7 refills. The fruit is reasonably priced, $5-7 for a good size container.”

“Everything inside is 100%… but if you’re waiting for your food/drink outside the doors… be prepared to smell the bodily fluids of the mentally ill humans who patrol the area, and bring bug spray to fight the flees and bug bites that follow those smells around. I waited for 2 minutes outside and my legs are covered. Ambiance and experience of a great cafe unfortunately ruined by the area it’s in.”
