L&L Hawaiian Barbecue

Now I get l&l is cliche and everywhere with somehow varying levels of constancy on and off the rock I'll admit Mauka is prolly in the conversation for best one I've had. For what it's worth the portions haven't changed a bit since they opened and crispness of everything is always welcome in my house! My problem as with most places boils down to rising costs. Again while understandable it turns places I and I assume others would rely on for a decent meal should we not want to cook or have a craving but again turns into a welcome treat/luxury. Overall still a place I'd hit up again and like how quick everything comes!

Went to this L & L Mililani Mauka. Owner (Lady) never greeted. Ordered a pan of chicken katsu. The katsu was hard like a rock, and cold. Called this lady back. She pretended to be a worker. When I asked her for the owner she said the owner is out of town. Then I asked for a manager, she then said she is the manager. I asked to get my money back. She said if I got the receipt I can come back for a refund. I said okay i am coming back for my refund. Then she said I cannot get a refund. Lies, lies, and more lies. NEVER AGAIN! Worst experience ever!!!!! Old food....DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION......

I just LOVE Food period. This place she go. Only tried they Mochiko Chicken and 2 thumbs 👍👍. I will keep u guys posted when I try to taste there whole menu.👍🤙💯

Terrible experience. The staff was unfriendly and refused to give any sauce unless I paid $1.50 — and their minimum credit card charge is $2, so you end up overpaying for a tiny amount. On top of that, the food on display looked old and unappealing. Ridiculous policies and poor quality. Definitely not coming back.

Chicken Katsu and Beef Stew are unbeatable, not to mention their Oxtail soup, it's addictive...

I ordered bbq chicken and it was ready in 60 seconds so I knew it wasn’t cooked fresh. Chicken was cold, flat and no sauce. Charge $1.04 for sauce, greedy.
I hate to speak poorly so please just improve and move on.

Horrible service and super stingy. Had to ask 3 times for more napkins because they give you one napkin every time…. I had a toddler with me so obviously going to need more napkins.
Ordered a regular size Katsu plate which gives more meat but you get one sauce, the same amount as a mini size plate. So you have to pay extra for the sauce when you already paid extra for the regular size. Where’s the common sense?
Also, this is the only L&L that doesn’t give two sauces for the regular.
Inside is stuffy, no AC, messy, and full of boxes.

Absolutely the worst loco moco I have ever tasted

Filling food, in large quantities, not great but edible.
It is not fine dinning, the BBQ meat is a flat stake, the fish was some sort of a white breaded fish, and the breaded shrimp was deep fat to a stiff brown something but all were tasty. There was plenty of rice and a pasta salad that was not bad.
The kalua pork dish was better with plenty of cabbage and rice.
