Excellent food, terrible customer service.

This place does everything a good a Japanese restaurant should do. We started off with a dynamite roll which was delicious. I usually get those for dessert because they're so good. Then we ordered from the hibachi grill. We shared a filet mignon with shrimp combo with extra eggs on our fried rice. We also got some salmon and a filet mignon. Everything was prepared in front of us with a great show. The chef was masterful in his preparation as well as his storytelling. We had a great time. Everything was flavored well and ready to eat when he served it. If you wanted to use yum yum sauce to really bring out the flavor then you could. If you need some hibachi then this is the place to go or sushi for that matter. I saw a couple of sushi boats go by and they looked amazing. I might have to go back for some of that.

By far the very best Habachi I have ever had. I frequent them in every state I travel too and this is my current number 1. The chef was amazing and charismatic and the prices were comparable to anywhere else back in the lower 48. Will come back again next time I'm in Honolulu HI.

Came here with my family, and the service was very fast. We came at around 4:45 p.m. and were seated immediately. We each ordered a few things from the sushi menu and it came out within 10 mins. The food was great and the service was good. I gave the atmosphere a 4 only because there are a few things that are outdated, and they seated us all the way at the back, which may be because we had a baby, but either way we kind of felt forgetten at first. Other than that, everything was great, and I would recommend it if you like sushi and hibachi.

We visited Sakura to celebrate my mother-in-law’s 75th birthday with a party of six, and while the food was exceptional, the service was a major disappointment for such a special occasion. The dishes were vibrant, delicious, and expertly prepared, truly showcasing the kitchen’s talent. However, the service fell far short of expectations. Our waiter approached and immediately asked, “Are you ready to order?” without any warmth or acknowledgment of the celebration. When we said we weren’t ready, he walked away without offering to take our drink orders. I had to flag him down to request drinks, which set a frustrating tone. Later, when I ordered another drink, it took 20 minutes to arrive, and the waiter even asked if I still wanted it when he finally brought it. The lack of attentiveness continued throughout the meal, casting a shadow over the experience. To top it off, the restaurant added an automatic gratuity of $35 for our party of six, which the waiter certainly did not earn given the poor service. Sakura’s food is outstanding, but the service needs significant improvement to match, especially for a milestone like a 75th birthday celebration.

The food is meh. We ordered three different specialty rolls and they all tasted kind of the same. The sashimi was fresh, though, and the fried oysters were pretty good.
