I wrote a great review previously when it was under different ownership. I just want to say to anybody that is local here . IT IS NOT THE SAME! The menu is very small and the woman said it’s quality over quantity and I agreed UNTIL. I ordered the “ sammich” (they used to have wonderful eggs Benedict btw the reason I loved this place) its was horrible to say the least. I also had a Carmel latte to try to wash down the taste of the sandwich but it just made it worse. Watery.. not much coffee .
This place used to bring great happiness to me through their food and drink it was TRULY SOUL food. I’m very very sad now. I left VERY disappointed though I did get a refund for the drink. But I would have rather paid and left happy than refunded and sad. I hardly have bad things to say and I feel bad when I do but as I was scrolling through the reviews I saw many low ratings I’ve never seen before. I felt inclined to speak my mind after seeing this. It’s sad. This place was truly a hidden gem. It now feels like there is no love or passion in the place.

Such a great find on the way to Hilo from Volcano National Park! We left that morning intending to grab a quick breakfast on the road and found this gem. The atmosphere is lovely on a gorgeous property. There is local art work and ways to support local artist. The food and coffee were astounding, I would highly recommend the avocado truffle toast.
We will 100% return in the future!

Their matcha is gigantic, dense and good. Quiet and calm during my visit, highly recommended

Forgive me, I had the wrong coffee shop, having tried so many on my road trip to Hawaii I thought Google was selecting another coffee shop for me. I remember I enjoyed it, even though the cooked cookie 🍪 was almost impossible to eat even though it was good. Biscuits are best not reheated

The food was decent, but we had to wait about 40 minutes for it, even though the restaurant was empty. The portions were small but overall acceptable. The biggest disappointment was the coffee. I ordered a caramel latte for $10, and it turned out to be overly sweet milk—absolutely undrinkable. On an island with so many wonderful coffee shops, charging such a price for this is outrageous.

The staff were very friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely, which made the experience a bit better

I happened to stop by this cafe while passing by after watching Volcano, and the girl was very kind.
There are lizards and it is nature-friendly^^
I was sick in the morning, but after drinking tea here, my condition improved. What is it? This place is too tight.
Be sure to stop by

Cute, roadside cafe just off Volcano Road, beside Pineapple Inn. Spacious sitting area with a small deck. Has shared tables near outlets where you can work. Two-car parking in front or park on the side of the road. Recently lost vegan baker so currently not serving vegan pastries. But the smoothies are vegan and delicious. Avo toast can be made vegan w/o the egg or Brie. Talk to Kimberly, the owner; she’s knowledgeable and very friendly. She’ll take care of you.

Vegetarian options: Recently lost vegan baker so currently no vegan pastries. But the smoothies are vegan as is and delicious. Avo toast can be made vegan w/o egg or Brie. Talk to Kimberly, the owner; she’s knowledgeable and very friendly. She’ll take care of you.

Got a raw cold brew but it does not taste like coffee at all. Place should explain to customers what raw coffee is before they spend $9 on a cup. Very disappointing, couldn't even finish it.

We stopped in on a whim because they were open for coffee on thanksgiving (👏) and I’m so glad we did! The creamy dream green coffee cold brew was delightful and unlike any other coffee I’d had before. The caramel macadamia nut cinnamon roll was also incredible. Service was top notch and so friendly and the atmosphere was calming and relaxing. I wish we had time to go back!

Never like to rate this low but the coffee was below average. There was no espresso shot and a lot of milk. The coffee was $10 which was not worth the money.

The caramel latte was too milky, not enough caffeine/espresso in that!

My daughter and I stopped at Da Beans last week. It was really wonderful. People were so friendly and the food was fantastic. It might have been the best breakfast sandwich I’ve ever had and at 65 years old I’ve eaten a lot! Definitely stop in - highly recommend!
