Very simple whole foods type of restaurant with a small shop in the back and a farmers market. Food was good to me( healthy) but my 11 year old wasn't a fan? again healthy food. But seriously I had the Mahi and I can't wait to have it again. Worth the stop.
Parking: Large parking lot behind building.

Prime rib was ice cold. Baked potato was boiled, it seemed. All of my entree was cold. Water and coffee were never refilled. Most of the food wasn't seasoned. My order was wrong. Only a tiny bit of sour cream was on my baked potato. When, I asked for more, I was told they were out. Asked for a spoon for my coffee. Never got one. Everyone's food came out 10 minutes apart. They were out of drip coffee. It was my son's birthday, and they were out of dessert. There was only one server. She was seating people, answering the phone and serving all of the tables, and running all of the food. I felt bad for her. The Korean wings were good. The mango boba smoothie was good. Nobody finished their food. They need more staff, and a better stocked kitchen, and a better trained kitchen staff. The tables were uneven and food almost slid off. Like I said, the smoothies and wings were good... Everything else was disappointing. We live down the street from Dimple Cheek, and I really wanted to like it. However, I wish we went somewhere else to celebrate my son's birthday.

It's nice. Cute store, seems like they purchase lots of Costco products and sell them at a small upcharge. There's lots of healthy and unique food choices.
Made a take out order & there was no one aside this girl to help her as you could tell she didn’t know what she was doing. She told me 15-20 minutes for my order to be ready. I left my house that 5 minutes away a little after the time she estimated for our order. What time as supposed to be 15-20 minutes turned into 45 minutes. Me & my other half were starving but we’re disappointed. My mushroom Swiss burger didn’t even have any tomatoe or Swiss cheese as stated on the menu. My other half’s chicken was over cooked & dry you couldn’t even enjoy. The portions are big but that means nothing without quality?

A lovely little restaurant with excellent food and great service just off the highway. We've had breakfast there a couple of times on the lanai, which can be noisy due to the nearby traffic, but nonetheless very pleasant. The menu would most likely please everyone with many diverse choices. The only quibble I would have is that when I twice ordered the fruit plate it came in a bowl making it difficult to cut some of the fruit, a plate would definitely be preferable. Also, it would help to take the peel off the pineapple, for example, making it easier to eat. Other than that, everyone in our party has been extremely happy with their experience at Dimple Cheek and we'll definitely be back.Update: Weʻve been back many times and always had a great experience. Itʻs our favorite, and actually only, breakfast place.
I would probably give it another try but overall, I didn't think it was as great as some of the reviews. Wife and I stopped by for dinner on a Sunday afternoon. Wasn't very busy at all. I had planned to order a bacon cheese burger but the server told me they didn't have any bacon so I switched up my order to a country fried steak. Oddly....another group came in about 40 minutes later and someone ordered a bacon cheesburger with no cheese without any issue?? I suppose they could have gone out for bacon though..... Same group ordered a soda and got a can of soda even though I had tried to order one with my meal and was told they didn't have sodas....even though it was on the menu? Possibly a communication issue or the server we had didn't know what was available....the other group had a different server. After ordering, it took quite a long time for the food to arrive. I think we waited at least 30 minutes. Food arrived and looked good. Portions were huge as reported. Wife had Kailua pork and cabbage and enjoyed it. My country fried steak was not what I expected. It was definitely a huge portion....but the steak was an actual steak....as in a ribeye or strip type cut of meet at full thickness, breaded and deep fried. The issue for that with me is that the steak wasn't cooked very well and had lots of fat still attached. Would definitely not order again now that I know it's full steak. I accept this is on me a bit since I assumed country fried steak here would be the same as what I would be used to on the mainland. As I said at the start....I might give it a try again but probably won't go out of my way to do so.
Ordered take out after a long day at work, got home and found a minor mistake with the order (I misunderstood the new menu). They were so kind, prompt and attentive in fixing it - even though it was my bad. My son loves their Korean Chicken wings, and was SO happy to receive his order.

Terrific, homely and authentic breakfast and brunch options either on the way to or back from volcano National Park... Or if you find the handful of cafes in Volcano aren't open for breakfast and you're ok with a 20 minute jaunt down the road. The burgers are outstanding, moco loco was authentic and tasty, coffee is free flowing... It's good value and as local as you can imagine. Nothing fancy, but friendly and good.

There is something for everyone here, and that something is DELICIOUS! 6 of us got wildly different meals, and everyone was incredibly happy with their choices. Do yourself a favor and upgrade your fries! The buttermilk chicken is flawless, the chicken fried steak is stunning, the burger is bursting with flavor, and the loco moco is everything! The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming. Beautiful view, cool people, and fabulous food...what more do you need?
Well let me tell you!!! This place has gone to the birds. Ordered surf and turf where the surf (ono) was dry as the sand in the Sahara and the turf(steak ) which I ordered medium rare came well or I’ll say over cooked which I think the turf on the football field might be more softer. Waitress was very kind, and was explained to me that the cooks kind of left for a break mid cook. Our food took almost an hour to come. Don’t recommend eating here at all

Our experience was nice; open walls, clean, beautiful country view. However, the food... we purchased prawns, chicken strips, and matzerella sticks. Along with something else, I can't remember. All meals are served in to-go containers. Believe it or not... it was all tasteless. The food looked great but NOTHING of what we expected to taste. My husband couldn't salvage what was left of his meal, about 3/4ths, and I had to toss the prawns. I made another meal with my chx strips that included a lot of flavorful gravy I made. It's was an expensive meal, $70ish plus tip... cuz I tip. Until I see more GREAT reviews for Dimple Cheek, I'm not spending my money there. Dimple Cheek needs to hire a great chef and pay them what they're worth.

Food cost went up and flavor of food went down. Kinda disappointed this time because our food came out in to go containers. It was warm not hot and the vegetables in my omelet tasted old. The potatoes tasted like they hadn't been washed so it had a dirt taste.

The seating at this restaurant was nice and open out on a covered porch. Unfortunately they had no way to wash dishes so they served everything in to-go containers. But that saved time at the end for leftovers. I had the Caprice hamburger. Absolutely delicious! The appetizers of prawns & mozzarella sticks were excellent.

Let start off with I had made reservations for 8 people at 6 PM on the 30th of September. The guy answered the phone call and took my reservation. Put it down wrong. The day was correct, but the time and the number of people were wrong. With that mistake, the waitress was nice enough to make the accommodations . Of my reservations, we sat outside. It was cooler, not a lot of wind, but cool. There were little knacks flying around the place. We ordered our food, and it took over an hour to receive our food. They only had .my table and 2 other tables that both had 2 people on each table a Total of 12 people.3 of our dishes, we're burnt, which were hamburger state, country fried steak. And I'm not sure what the other steak plate was. But they were all burnt and overcooked. One steamed fish that was under cook. The steak and the hamburger had no taste whatsoever. Besides, a burnt taste, The vegetables Where supposed to be steamed. Vegetables, but it was satiated and also burnt. The taco plate was blend and had no taste. So that was a total of 5 .only 3 of our Plates were not burnt and had an amazing taste. And that was the kid's chicken strips and fries and 2 of their seafood plates. It was a very disappointing dinner. We were celebrating my son 17 birthday and his and his girlfriend's 1 year anniversary. The waitress had apologized numerous times .She even called the manager, who was very nice and understanding also very apologetic. She complimentary all of our food and gave us complimentary dessert. The dessert was the highlight of our dinner. The The manager even gave us a gift certificate to come back. The 2 Cooks did come out to Apologize. However, the 2 cooks were talking to each other and not directly to my party. They also smelled of alcohol.
Parking: Parking in a front is very limited. I'm not sure about the parking in the back.
Kid-friendliness: It was OK. We only had a 5 year old with us. And she's pretty well behave.
Wheelchair accessibility: You can get to the restaurant in a wheelchair.

I've been coming here for five years and very disappointed in the recent changes. First off if I'm dining in a restaurant I don't want to be served in a takeout container. I could go to a drive-in and get that. The fish and chips use to come with fries and a salad. Now you have the fish only with one choice of either fries, salad or soup. The fish was good with good portion but greasy. Dining in is a treat I want to feel that.
