This is a must stop for coffee lovers. I'm a big coffee connoisseur, always seeking out the best coffee, having different coffee shipped to me from around the world. But the coffee I got here, from Ka au was one of the best coffees I've ever had! Mary who runs place is awesome and knows her stuff.

The coffee here is delicious and unique and if you can, I highly recommend booking a tour with Jeanette. We had a fantastic tour that was educational, interactive, and extremely personable at a very relaxed pace. All of the staff here were friendly and engaging. Our time here will certainly be one of the highlights of our vacation here. Thank you! ?

Right off of Volcano Road. Hamakua coffee was vibrant and robust. Great comparison to international coffees. Coffee has a unique Hawaii taste. Thank you Rachel for all your knowledge and look forward to the blends that are coming up…. Ooo Christmas Delight.

Probably the best cup of coffee and the friendliest face during our stay in Hilo. Thank you, Rachel, for your charming conversation and wonderful Hilo recommendations. We lamented we never tasted a better coffee the rest of our trip!

Amazingly delicious coffee. We got coffee, the banana bread frosted with cream cheese and the brews pudding. Everything was delicious.

We had an incredible tour of the coffee farm with the HCM staff! Chelsea, Rachel, and Lilo were super enthusiastic and friendly. They led us around the beautiful farm to see the coffee trees. We were also joined by the coffee farmers Tom and Tim, who shared their expert knowledge of the farm. We learned about the coffee production process, and got to see and taste ripe coffee cherries, as well as a number of other fresh farm fruits. The tour ended with a sampling of the coffees produced on the farm. The flavored coffees are divine, especially the pineapple coffee!Hilo Coffee Mill staff no ka 'oi!

Coffee was sooo smooth, the chickens were engaging, and the sign that told you where to park was very small. There was also an elderly cat! Meow!

The reason we stumbled upon this coffee farm/shop was because we really liked the coffee over at The Rim restaurant near Volcano National Park and the waitress informed us that the coffee came from here. We walked in after our morning hike and ended up buying over $100 of coffee and shipping it back to the mainland. Rachel also served us her favorite drink which was flavored coffee with a shot of espresso and half and half, which was delightful. She was helpful in explaining all the different coffees and making us feel at home. I will direct any foot/car traffic here for their coffee especially after a long morning in the park.

Really enjoyed visiting here. Jeannette and her staff are lovely and they have whole bean coffee for purchase and an espresso bar, both delicious. A very charming atmosphere, plus they have a farmers market on Saturday! The owners are obviously very passionate about what they do, you'll have a lovely time visiting Hilo Coffee Mill

The Hilo Coffee Mill tour is a must-do if you're staying on the big island. The coffee farm itself is on 24 acres, but has a quiet and calm feel to it - not at all crowded and everyone is incredibly friendly. The tour was just Jeanette (the owner), my husband, and myself. She showed us the roasting room, the drying area, the coffee plants, and some special stops along the way. At the end, you get an opportunity to taste test some different coffees in their store, where they also have a full cafe set up if you'd prefer to just grab a cup and go. We ended up buying several bags to take home as well, which they were nice enough to ship! Jeanette's passion for coffee is evident in what she does, and she goes above and beyond to provide you with a great experience!
