Worth the hype!! Portuguese sausage “the local way” was a heavenly bite of food. Owner was very friendly and easy to talk to. We almost skipped it bc we had great food at the bakery but this was our favorite bite of food. Highly recommend! In a church parking lot under a tent. Such a wonderful experience.

We went here at the recommendation of a tourist I met on my flight. It did not disappoint. It is definitely off the beaten path but well worth the detour! And the prices are insanely reasonable.

Big Dog's Hot Dogs is a roadside food stand in paradise serving high quality sausage sandwiches, lovingly crafted by a master of the culinary arts, masquerading as a hot dog stand. Highly recommend this place!! The owner is extremely nice, and he prepares all the hot dogs with such great attitude, the attention he gives you is very good. We stopped here after the black sand beach. We tried a few things from the menu and everything is delicious. 😋 Very good prices for very good food. Can’t wait to go back!

This place is awesome! Roadside spot run by the friendliest guy with the best hot dogs. So delicious and had all kinds of cool toppings and suggestions. I had the Portuguese sausage with sriracha and fry sauce and my husband had the pork and pineapple sausage. We are so glad we stopped by. Highly recommend.

What a find! I ate here when I went to South Point and liked it so much that I stopped again a few days later when I drove from the east side back to Kona. The proprietor, Marcus, was so nice and the food was terrific. I had the pineapple pork both times. The food stand has no restroom or seating, but he has a little hand-washing station. Highly recommended!
