I think Punalu'u bake shop is over-hyped. We got an aloha plate, lilikoi lemonade, cheeseburgers, and a couple baked goods. The chicken was dry, the cheeseburgers did not have a good mix of flavors (all 4 of us got cheeseburgers and agreed that they were not great.) The cream puff was stale- we threw it out. The lilikoi malasada and the lemonade were good, but not sure if it's worth the price. I like the grounds - very beautiful setting, with gazebos and plenty of picnic...
Malisadas were delicious! My husband and I had never tried them previously and ended up sharing 5! I had the traditional (seemed to he sugar dipped with no filling) and he had guava. I wish I had bought bread there after we left, but didn't think of it at the time. He also bought a turkey sandwich there and said it was great.

There are many desserts and breads, and there is also a very comfortable outdoor seating area.
Personally, I like the tora roll, the other two taste just average.
The donuts are good, the puffs are okay
