I live on Maui and I’ve bought cookies from this shop forever, but only recently tried the ice cream. I have to say, even though the ice cream and cookies are very good, the girl that was working 11/19/24 was the rudest person they could have found! I work locally and had been referring people to them. There are other ice cream options in Paia so you’d think if you have competition you want your staff as good as your product. If you’re going to work with the public be friendly, or just get another job. And owners, please care enough about your business to not accept subpar employees. As much as I like your food I won’t go back or refer your business anymore.

Went here the other day. Very friendly and helpful. Good experience. Wonderful eats. Dutched Chocolate ice cream was very very good. Cookies were fantastic.
Kid-friendliness: My nephew is autistic. They made a real effort to answer all of his questions. They were very patient with him.
Ohh yes. You don’t want to miss this spot! Really really good ice cream especially the vegan ice cream. In fact, I’ve never had better vegan ice cream in my life and I pride myself off my ice cream expertise lol. But really it’s amazing and the service is excellent

As a vegan traveler and a husband requiring gluten-free options, it’s often a struggle to find rich, creamy vegan ice cream options that aren’t just sorbets. Artisan Ice Cream in Pa’ia was a game-changer for us ! I was thrilled with their vegan Double Chocolate with Cocoa Nibs — it was indulgent, with a deep chocolate flavour and the perfect crunch from the nibs. My husband enjoyed the Coconut Coffee flavor, which had the ideal balance of coconut’s creaminess with a coffee kick.
The young lady who served us was so welcoming and helpful, making our experience even better. I’ve heard that other ice cream spots may have better tasting traditional ice cream, as for vegan options, Artisan matched our expectations. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious vegan treat!

This is a tiny place next door to Cafe des Amis that offers around 5 vegan ice creams. The girls working were very nice and let me sample a couple flavors before I decided. I ended up choosing the coconut macadamia nut vegan ice cream and it was delicious! Glad I tried them.

I got the coconut brown sugar and coconut macnut, it was alright. The texture just wasn’t quite like ice cream. More like in between a sorbet and ice cream. The flavor was pretty good though, maybe a little underwhelming but not bad. Overall would go again if it was super hot and needed something to cool down with.

A sweet spot for a scoop of heaven! Before going plant based, the chocolate chip cookies with lavender vanilla was my fav. Their team is uniquely kind and as long as you park in a local lot (pay $1-5 and enjoy some leisure ?) its a really easy way to make the most of your trip to Paia!
