Omg, what can i say- it was our first time visiting Maui and this place is just awesome, between the workers Kai and Haley that helped us out, and all the people sitting at the bar, and the drinks all were 10/10! Definitely worth trying.
Came in on an accidental find, and it has been a highlight of our trip to Maui so far! Kai, the bartender, gave us a full rundown on the Kava, the Polynesian heritage, and the beneficial effects of the products he serves. We had the Fish Bowl and the Espresso Martini, both were far better than anticipated and better than most bars best concoction. Most of all though, at the bar we had us two tourists from Texas, plus one from Minnesota, and three locals who were originally from...
We had a very memorable experience at Aumakua. Ames was our kavatender and she did a phenomenal job and explaining the history of kava and its deeply rooted traditions. I’ve been to several kava bars and I would easily come back to this place in a heartbeat. Highly recommend paying a visit here.
