Visited on 28/12/25, felt unwelcome at this cafe. All the staff seemed grumpy. While waiting for the line up for the bathroom, a worker (with a black hat, braids, looked to be approx. 50 yrs old) reprimanded us with a rude tone standing in a busy walk way. there was no where else to wait for the bathroom. The same worker got mad at my partner as he was walking out of the building, waved him on and was very impatient and rude. All interactions with the staff at this cafe made me feel like we were in trouble for being there.

Post-church brunch on a Sunday morning was delightful and nourishing! I love when I can find a high protein meal rather than just the usual “breakfast” foods that are high sugar. We enjoyed the breakfast burrito and the sweet potato bowl with salmon and a chai latte. Next time I want to try the strawberry matcha, but they were out of matcha when we came in. It’s a nice environment fresh air coming through.

I had the "kanpachi" which was delicious but a very small portion with a very large amount of mashed sweet potatoes. I would have preferred a larger serving of kanpachi and less sweet potatoes. But the dish was delicious.

Café Mambo is a GEM! We stopped in for a quick bite and left completely wowed. The vanilla oat milk latte was the best I’ve ever had—smooth, perfectly balanced, and just the right touch of sweetness. As for the food, we both had the fish sandwich which we thoroughly enjoyed, the fries were crispy, and side salad also delicious. Very friendly servers. Highly recommend! 🌟

We had an amazing dinner at Café Mambo! We started with the Burrata, which came with gluten-free bread (they were super accommodating) and a delicious mix of preserved lemons and peppers — so unique and flavorful.
For dinner, we ordered the Half Roasted Chicken, Warm Winter Salad, Broccolini, and Potatoes, and had everything served together as one big spread. The chicken was tender with a tasty harissa seasoning, the salad was perfectly balanced with squash, beets, and feta, and both sides were incredible — the broccolini had a nice chili crisp kick, and the potatoes were melt-in-your-mouth soft with a light herb aioli.
They also have great mocktails, which is so nice for anyone who doesn’t drink — all super refreshing and thoughtfully made.
Service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is classy, modern, and welcoming. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to!

Breakfast burrito is the best one I’ve ever had. Recommend adding sausage. We came here twice on our trip to Maui even when we weren’t staying in Paia to get this burrito. The pancakes and strawberry matcha are also delicious.

The electricity went out halfway through the dinner about your staff was delightful. They still cooked our food and made sure we got everything even though we're working with flashlights. One of the workers even use birthday candles on our table, which was very nice because it was my birthday- Really good food and the staff was amazing thank you Café mambo
