Took my wife out for her birthday, it was a very nice experience. We both enjoyed ourselves and the food was very tasty and creative. Although all the food was excellent, for the amount that you have to pay I hoped for bigger portions. The dinner and the Incredible wine pairing was delightful. The dinner was superb, the wine was great, the price was pretty steep and the portions could've been a bit more IMO. I feel like you should go and experience it at least once. Realistically we probably won't be back just because of the price but it was a pleasure.

This could be the best meal that I have ever eaten. We were fortunate that a large group cancelled, and had the place to ourselves. The food was very tasty and presented amazing. The dishes and wine pairing were well thought through. The service was perfect. They were not hovering, but attentive to what was needed at every moment. This wife and husband team have transported this small place in Paia Maui to what could be a fine dining restaurant in Europe. The pricing is appropriate for the amazing dinner and experience, but unfortunately it will not allow most people to afford it, but I wouldn't change a thing. Mahalo for the dinner of a lifetime!

Very personal like being served in a friend's home (if your friend was an exceptional chef). This was our third dinner at Nylos and each one was uniquely special. We'll be back again next time on the island.

We had the best time at NyloS. We ate here to celebrate our 7th Wedding Anniversary while on a trip to Maui, and it was one of the highlights of our entire trip. The space is cozy and intimate, the owners (who are also the chef and serving staff) were friendly, knowledgeable, and very inviting, and the food was unbelievable. This was hands down the best chef-picked tasting menu we've done in a long time! We ended up having the entire space to ourselves, which let us get to know the owners better and truly enjoy each other's company. The owners were also very accommodating, as I was 7 months pregnant, and the chef tweaked his menu for me to be able to truly enjoy and experience each course as he intended to. I will warn you, even though each course is a smaller portion than what a normal entree would be, they still are good-sized portions, and with everything being so phenomenal, we had trouble finishing the last couple just because we were getting so full. I would still highly recommend reserving a table here at NyloS while in Maui. If we are ever blessed enough to come back to the islands, we will be making a stop here.

The wife runs the front of house and she couldn't be more wonderful. She remembered us well even though we only dined there once a year ago. You really feel like you're in their home being cooked a gourmet meal by a family that really cares. And that's what this is.
No big hotel. No ocean view. No corporate chain. Just a small family restaurant cooking amazing food.
If you have the budget and the time, you MUST try this restaurant. It's a truly unforgettable experience that will be a highlight of any trip to Maui. We should all work together to support local businesses like this whenever we can.
