Hidden Gem in the Neighborhood! We stumbled upon Hangry Mama Bar & Kitchen last night, a true hidden gem in our neighborhood that has been delighting locals for a year now. The fried noodles, rib eye steak, and the pork belly wrap on a sizzling plate were all top-notch. The pork belly wrap with cheese and sauce was incredibly scrumptious, making a return visit inevitable to explore more of their enticing menu. The ambiance is fantastic, staff are friendly and welcoming, and the cleanliness of both the place and restroom is commendable. The AC unit works wonders, and the decor adds to the overall charm. Karaoke was a blast and a special shout-out to Shania for making our experience even more enjoyable. Thank you, Hangry Mama, for a memorable evening! Happy Holidays and wishing you all great success in the new year. ALOHA

This was not what we expected when we walked in. But knees deep inside and my friends and I didn't want to turn around and walk out. So we sat and gave it a try. Let's talk menu...We weren't ready for the options. They only serve pupu style food. Very pricey and some what not what our pockets would pay for the amount we got.We had the kimchee friend rice with cheese it was different. I'll be the first to say never have I ever. But I did and it tasted okay. The crab cream cheese was under cooked but it's like any other wonton. Nothing spectacular We ordered the mochiko chicken bomb and that was okay the flavor was there but the amount wasn't for $20The restaurant is definitely your hidden spot where locals or bikers and karaoke singers enjoy. It's not a place for kids or if you're looking for a meal. They only have pupu's and drinks

Response to managers reply: I never said the food was "so good" lol.. Sorry if this hurts your feelings but just being honest. Your bar was very busy so you must be doing something right, so you don't have to worry about my post right?!Original post:It was ok bar food, but quite expensive. The pork wrap was tasty but very greasy. It's pork belly wrapped in bacon and cheese. Anything with bacon and cheese tastes good sooo... the mochiko chicken was overly fried too hard to eat. For $20, I expected better. The mochi sticks was good too. It's hard to find since it's in a sketchy area. Also the waitress overcharged us for the mochi sticks but we just wanted to get out of there so didn't complain. I wouldn't return since the price was too high for the mediocre quality of food.

With the numerous number of Korean restaurants throughout the state, Hangry Mama was a gem. We ordered three dishes, and each had a unique flavor. We ordered Fried Noodles, the Mochiko Chicken Bomb, and the Pork Belly Wrap. Their bar food was delicious, and the presentation was like a high class restaurant. The service was excellent, and we got to meet Samantha (Sammy), the owner, cook, and bar tender. Very pleasant and sweet. The bar and grill is located in the bowls of the Pearlcity Business Plaza. On the ocean side of the building. Like to thank fellow Yelper Kristin T. for pointing out this place. Enjoy

Saw this place on yelp and saw pictures about their food. So my husband and I decided to go and try their food. Of course it's a bar and the atmosphere is like a bar atmosphere lighted enough where you can see the menu but during this time of the day not crowded. Haha. The server, cook, owner named Samantha told us what's popular on the menu so we ordered 2 out of 3 most popular item. The food all in all was good and plentiful. I think that's why you need more than 2 people to eat it. Haha. Told her will be back with our friends and try more of the food.

this place is a hidden gem! we were in the area and hungry so we decided to check out hangry mama. outside it look sketchy, but it's definitely worth going to. there's a lot of parking in the area and the food is super ono! our favorite was the pork belly wrap and the pan fried mandoo. the staff is super friendly and the service is so quick, everything came out hot and fresh. they also do karaoke! was too shy to try and sing but i believe it was $1 per song? so not too bad!

The outside and parking might seem sketchy, but the food and service inside was well worth it. Granted that my group of 8 came on a Wednesday that wasn't very busy, we got great service and awesome. They have a bunch of different soju flavors that they can mix and match. We tried the mango monster, lychee, and strawberry yogurt. All the flavors were so good that it almost felt like there was no alcohol(creepers though). Our favorite was the lychee! The food was fresh and packed with flavor. We ordered mandoo, kimchee fried rice, pork belly roll, chicken bomb, army stew, and Korean chicken wings. Nothing was disappointing and we enjoyed it all! Side note that a lot of their dishes do come with cheese... not a problem for us but just aware. After stuffing our faces we got to enjoy the rest of the night singing karaoke! It's $1/song and they even provide covers for the mic so no spreading of germs. I will definitely be back for more grinds and fun!

Was looking for a place to grab some drinks and pupus before meeting up with some friends in the Pearl City area. Found this hidden gem located in the Pearl City Business Plaza on the side of Kamehameha hwy. I have to admit, driving to place, I felt a little sketch. It's located underneath and behind the building, and you have to drive past some areas that look a little rough. But once we parked and walked in, the vibe was welcoming and awesome! Highly recommend this friendly neighborhood bar! If they were in town, we would frequent this place all the time! The wait staff is awesome and kept checking in on us throughout the night. The food was fantastic! They also have Karaoke for those of you who like to sing! Some food pics:Kalbi (came out on a sizzling platter)Tteokbokki

Wow. What a find!!! This place was awesome. So glad I went. Great food. Great service. Nice clientele. I went for lunch. So I have no idea how it is later. I loved my food. The parking lot (lower level) was pretty empty. Be careful driving in and out. I would definitely go back! Bar area is small.
