Lappert's Hawaii

The ice cream was quite nice, but I chose a cone with one scoop. For just shy of $10, the scoop was small, so much so that it disappeared half way down the cone and didn’t sit roundly on the top. The woman wasn’t particularly helpful or talkative, she just stood pretty disinterested until I’d made a choice. It’s simply not worth the money. Imagine a family of 5 getting little change of $50 for a single scoop in a cone. Save your money and drive down to Hanalei, where it’s nicer, cheaper and more friendly.

Ice cream is great. But their Princeville store hours seem to vary a lot. No guarantee they’ll be open when you show up

Got the passion fruit shortbread ice cream and felt underwhelming for the price. Too short bready- wish they did samplers before asking customers to commit

The hand packed pints were $17.99 each. The macadamia nuts in both pints were rancid. Maybe we chose the wrong flavors.

Kind of sad my family was never even able to try to the ice cream here. Not sure who was working but we came twice once on a Tuesday and once on a Wednesday around 5:30 and whoever was working would have the store “closed for lunch” and we weren’t sure when she would return? One day we decided to just get ice cream at foodland and we saw her going back about 5 minutes before the store closed…

Great flavors.

Most locations of Lappert's hit the spot but this one is lacking for many reasons.

Good ice cream. But I wish they had their flavors listed on the door or in the window. Not being able to see any flavors until you are at the corner made the line super slow. Which is hard when you are on a peak day like we were.

Ice cream was fine but the girls working at the counter acted like we were inconveniencing them by giving business to the place that employs them. Maybe they should find a different job?? Or a better attitude.

I think I’m just mostly disappointed that this ice cream place seems to always close so early and I’ll even hear other people saying the same thing. It’s like once you have dinner you want to go out for ice cream and with only a couple options around here this one isn’t even an option because it closes at 6 PM!

I’ve been here twice, I love the ice cream but the person who works there (with giant eyelashes) hates her job!
First time I came what was the name of the ice cream (it has local name) she told me to read me myself, I didn’t feel wanted as a customer. Again I’ve been there twice
Ice cream is delicious but…

Ice cream was delicious, let me start there. The service- not so wonderful- unimpressed with a very kurt and somewhat rude and impatient woman who made me feel very rushed. This place had a line with about 5 tourists and we didn't know the flavors- I asked for 1 sample and she gave me a lot of grief and a very miniscule sample (which I split with my husband). She took the fun out of an ice cream shop, real quick! There is a shave ice place next door- which I can recommend instead of this ice cream spot. Go there instead- you won't be treated poorly and you'll enjoy your sweet treat!

Good place to stop for a delicious ice cream. The service is nice and friendly, patient to let you try the different flavors. The Kona coffee ice cream was very good!
