Great lasagna and awesome garlic bread. Don't miss a wander through the secret garden, it's really special.
Great place to have a healthy lunch: we were there on a terribly rainy day and felt a warm welcome from the staff. Even without the garden, which is certainly the best point there, it was worth a visit. The Art Gallery of Mr Ono is full of nice stuff to discover and purchase. We enjoyed our time there, as we were a bit lost in Volcano village that day!
A delightful art gallery and restaurant. The miso mushroom soup was excellent, the open faced egg salad sandwich was OK, and coffee was also excellent. Make sure you visit the “secret garden”; a truly amazing short walk through Hawaiian tropical flowers and plants.
We came here for lunch on our last day in Volcano. If you’re in the area, it’s an absolute must see and it is a highlight of being in Volcano. The food was excellent! The gallery was full of beautiful art and handmade gifts for purchase. The best part was the grounds and secret garden, though. A very beautiful and peaceful place.
We had lasagna, burritos and some of us had the special of the day, chickpea curry and brown rice. We all had plenty of food to eat and share around the table. I could have easily shared my serving with another adult if we had been less hungry. The secret garden corners were incredible exploring opportunity and the entire area just felt peaceful and rejuvenating. And it’s very convenient before going into the national park to see the volcano.
Sublime cuisine and atmosphere. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and the garden. The hosts are charming, attentive, and creative.
The food is amazing
They might not have a lot of vegan options but we found the Mexican casserole yummy. It also came with a sided salad which was nice, and soup. Great meal. And the vegan carrot cake was wow good! Great having a good vegan meal near a national park. Beautiful garden grounds too.
Really cool cafe and gallery. Good vegetarian food in a relaxing atmosphere. The owner was very nice and suggested we explore the grounds. Lots of local art in the gallery. Very nice plants and garden.
Hidden gem near volcano national park. Vegetarian and vegan food, so flavorful and filling! Loved walking in secret garden after having yummy lunch. Shoutout to Maddie for being an excellent hostess and great recommendations! Must visit. :)

Everything about this place is worth it! If you love art and appreciate beauty, you can’t go wrong with this place.
Amazing place to visit when near Volcanos National Park! They have a wonderful cafe with some great food options and a lovely garden. Staff is very welcoming and friendly. The shop was also very enjoyable. We spent two nights at the cottage they have on site and it was a 10/10 experience.
The restaraunt is excellent! By far the best food in town. Quiche excellent, coconut macaroons yummy, ice tea refreshing and lasagna was cheesy goodness. Split pea soup and balsamic is no ordinary dressing. The server was also super sweet and helpful!
Super delicious food for fair price and a very cozy location. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. Also very nice is the secret Garden!:)
We were well welcomed in this nice and cozy restaurant for lunch. The food is great and there is an art gallery with really nice products. The gardens are very peaceful.
