Looks are deceiving. This place is really good! Hubby had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was very good. Im not generally impressed by most Alfredo and they surprised me in all the right ways. I had the Teriyaki Chicken. I love that finally someone knows how to grill a chicken breast!!! Nice little char on the outside and tender and moist on the inside. Many places way overcook Chicken breast and dry it out. Kudos! I like i coudl pick my own side because I was in the mood for curly fries. Not a normal combination but I loved that it ticked all our boxes! Definitely would recommend.

This place is a local gem! We had the mahi mahi salad with lilikoi vinaigrette, mahi mahi filet sandwich, and the pot-mac salad! You have to try the pot-Mac salad! The vibe is quaint and the floor looks like lava. The service was wonderful and welcoming. And to top it all off, make sure you ask about the daily, homemade desserts…we had the coffee cheesecake! If you visit the NP, this is a great option for lunch!

We stopped in for a quick and light bite on our trip around the island. A cheeseburger for me and fish n chips for Bae off the kids menu hit the spot.

Volcano's Lava Rock Cafe has that perfect island diner vibe I've been looking for. Everything about it feels welcoming and comfortable, and the people who work here are so friendly and amazing. The hospitality here is genuine and makes every visit special.
This is hands down my favorite place on the island for cheesecake and coffee. The cheesecake is incredible, and their coffee is always on point. It's become my go-to spot when I need a good treat.
If you haven't been yet, you're missing out. Great food, great people, great vibes. What more could you ask for?

This is a small restaurant at the rear of a small grocery store/gas station. There was so many options and the 4 of us each got something different and loved the meals. Would go back and recommend!!

Great place to stop and eat while visiting Volcano National Park.

The staff here is very kind! We were kind of in a rush for takeout and they made sure our order was ready within 15 minutes. The burgers are good.

Well we had terrible experience here. Service is nice but the food is pretty bad. Chicken plate dish was bad felt like chicken wasn’t fresh, beef plate was also horrible meat was hard and chewy, wings were overcooked, burger was very overcooked or precooked awhile ago and just warmed up before serving. The kitchen stuff is very entitled and disrespectful towards their guests. We asked our server to return the beef plate. Everything else we paid for, off course they did not offer anything else at all. The right thing to do would’ve been at least taken care of half of the bill. I would like to end this review with a message to the staff none of you better than any one out there what’s the reason for your entitlement? Kitchen lady confronted us on the way out yelling out the window that we are rude LOL for returning the 1 dish out of 5 everything we ordered was terrible except for the onion rings they were good
