A coworker said to check this out since Im staying in Makaha and it was so much better then I expected. Highly recommend. We got the mofungo with the carne Frita and the flavors were amazing. Got it with the gandules rice and habichuelas. I would get that again and again. We also got the pernil plate which was good but not as flavorful as the carne frita. The tres leches cake was tasty. Its byob so that was an added bonus. Definitely check this place out.

Cozy, folksy, and casual restaurant servicing delicious Puerto Rican and other Latin American dishes. The Cuban sandwich and tres leches cake I had were delicious. The menu notes allergen information, including several gluten free and vegetarian options. The service was friendly and attentive. There is indoor seating and shaded outdoor seating. This place is definitely worth a visit when you're on the leeward side of Oahu.

Please do not get French fries here. Get the Yuca Fritas. Way better, starchier, but real and flavorful.

I won't lie—I was a bit skeptical when I was told this place offered authentic Puerto Rican food and Colombian empanadas. But I’m so glad I went! The flavors were more than just authentic; they tasted like an abuela made it! Exquisite mofongo, pernil plate, and Colombian empanadas!
The only thing missing was a *coquito*—true to its name, the ultimate Puerto Rican cocktail!
I drove an hour and I would do it again.

Conveniently located near dolphin viewing tours we came here for lunch. Everything was phenomenal and tasty. The Cuban sandwich, fried plantains, grilled shrimp and sides were spot on. The hot sauce was flavorful with a nice slow heat. Our server was super friendly and the kitchen accommodated our pescatarian diet. The vibe was chill and much more relaxed than restaurants in Waikiki or Haleiwa.

Wow wow wow… just speechless! True authentic Puerto Rican food right here in Hawaii πŸ‡΅πŸ‡·They deserve way more than 5 stars. Everything we tried was absolutely delicious & perfectly seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The staff was incredibly kind and welcoming, and the dessert completely blew me away. You can truly taste the love in every bite. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for authentic Puerto Rican food on the island!

I recently visited this restaurant, and it was such a delightful experience. They specialize in Puerto Rican, Colombian, and Caribbean dishes, and you can really taste the heart in every bite. The setting is very homey and laid-back, which made for a relaxing meal. It’s a wonderful spot if you’re looking for authentic flavors and a friendly, welcoming environment. I’ll definitely be heading back to try more of their menu.

We are always looking for a Puerto Rican spot wherever we travel and let me tell you, we found it here!!! The food is so bomb. I had the mofongo with shrimp and it was the perfect texture and flavor; not dry, you can taste the garlic. The pastel tasted very fresh and there was stuffing in every bite. We started with the alcapurrias and they were so good that I forgot to take a pic. 10/10 recommend Coquitos. I’ll be back
