4 people in our party and all enjoyed their meals from the Cheeseburger, to the spicy chicken (which was very tender), to the fish tacos, to the short rib the meal was really good. Known for their Rum, definitely try the flight. Did not like the rootbeer which was served in an aluminum can (Bargs) and overcharged for a soda in a 12 oz can.

Kristen was so cool and made our Mai Tai class so memorable. I am not a big drinker but I loved the cocktails and I will definitely order the kit when I get home. This activity was very fun and memorable. Loved it!

Cristy and I did the Kuleana distillery tour yesterday, and it was one of the highlights of our trip. The tour started in the sugar cane fields, moved to the distillery, and ended at the Rum Shack for tastings, so we truly got to experience the process from field to glass.
We were lucky enough to end up with a private tour, just the two of us, and because the usual tour guide was unexpectedly unavailable, Steve, the founder and CEO, personally gave us the tour. He did a fantastic job explaining every step of the process, answering all of our questions and demonstrating the meaning of Kuleana throughout the entire experience.
The tour was educational, entertaining, and genuinely memorable. The rums were exceptional, unique, and clearly made with care and purpose. We highly recommend both the distillery tour and the Rum Shack. We already plan to return with friends, and when we do, we will happily take the tour again.

Slow service, food was not great, and I was charged $33 for 3 soft drinks, one refill a piece. Like, probably 30 total ounces of root beer (tiny cups, tons of ice). I get that we are in a vacation area, but that's just taking advantage of people.

We went for dinner. We had reservations, so we were seated immediately. We were not having drinks so straight away ordered burger to share.
Service was good and quick.
Burger was ok, nothing extra ordinary.
Ambience is good and I think they have good drinks on menu.
Will revisit sometime.

I was underwhelmed by the food. I got the curry with grilled ono. The curry was too salty and sour, and the ono was too dry. The food is also pretty expensive, especially for lunch (they don't have separate lunch/dinner menus).
Nice atmosphere and no complaints about service, but I would still choose a different restaurant next time.

We had catch our flight and as vegetarians we ordered yellow curry with tofu, it came with small portion of rice. There were literally 3 pieces of tofu, the whole box of tofu doesn’t cost 5$ at the max on the island and we were charged 8$ for the tofu addition alone. The curry was tangy and no spice at all. No where near Thai yellow curry!! We also got corn ribs which were decent. The portion size of the curry with rice doesn’t justify the price!! Wouldn’t recommend it for their price!
Note that we have ordered food in the same queens & kings market place and the portions justified the price!!

Best Happy Hour in the area hands down. The Kalua Pork Nachos are a must. Legit original “Trader Vic’s” style Mai Tai too!

Our last dinner on the Big Island. We had the kalbi ribs, steak, ahi, rum cake and rum flight. We loved our dinner! It’s a nice restaurant. Appreciate they were family friendly as well! Staff was also knowledgeable about and rum flight. Definitely try the rum flight if you’re into rum. It was SMOOTH!

Absolutely delicious dinner! We were so excited to come here because of the menu and it did not disappoint. We got the miso Caesar, chicken yakitori, penna alla rhum, and katsu burger and everything was absolutely delicious. The service was amazing - thanks to Emily and Ethan! We can’t wait to return next time we are on the big island - and not pregnant so I can try the rum (:

We have been coming to this restaurant since the day it opened. For years I have been asking for a fresh fish and steak option on the menu. Today our server, Paula advised there was no fresh fish option. However, she stated a customer had brought in a fresh caught Ono fish. She had the chef prepare it for us and it was fantastic! She went above and beyond for us. Please make Ono a fresh fish option.

Menu is out of date. No fresh catch of the day which is absurd as there is fresh fish all around. Penne was undercooked with no sauce. Sauce for the penne was bland. The steak option of the day lacked any sort of creativity. When we mentioned the problem with the pasta our server did say their kitchen had issues with consistency. Skip this option and go for something better.

Food is good, although the loco moco plate seems inconsistent from past pictures. Pictures from previous reviews show multiple chunks of meat, meanwhile the dish I was served only had one. Service was good, ambiance has an indoor outdoor vibe with lots of bugs flying and crawling about
