BEST MEAL IN MAUI - Food here is NEXT LEVEL! think French Laundry of Maui — everything is super fresh. We ordered the Wagyu Steak, the Smash Burger (WOW!), and the Fresh Catch. All A+

I can confidently say Spoon & Key Market has officially made it into my Top 3 favorite restaurants in Maui, and I can’t believe I didn’t know about it until now! I went this past Friday night with some friends, and from the moment we walked in, I was hooked. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and perfectly lit, no noise, no rush, just a beautiful setting to truly enjoy food and conversation.
Every single dish we tried felt like it was straight out of a Food Channel feature. I’m usually not a fan of chicken, yet here I found myself wanting plate after plate, we actually re-ordered it right after finishing the first serving because it was that impressive. The octopus was another standout favorite, and honestly, saying I didn’t like something would be a total lie because everything was flawless.
The cocktails were just as memorable, fresh, balanced, and clearly made with quality ingredients. You can truly taste the cucumber, herbs, and even the fresh lavender they use (yes, actual sprigs of lavender!). And let’s not forget dessert, absolutely divine.
What blew me away was realizing they’ve been open for two years, two years I’ve been missing out on this gem! The moment I tasted the first dish, I was already texting my husband saying, “how do we not know this place?” I can’t wait to go back with him so he can experience it too.
Five stars don’t even come close, if I could leave 100, I would. Whether you’re local to Maui or visiting, do yourself the best favor and come eat at Spoon & Key Market. We went for dinner, but I hear they also serve breakfast, and lunch, and I can’t wait to try them all.

This place has incredible food. Went there for dinner last night and came back today for lunch - planning to come back another day for breakfast.
For dinner we got their tomato salad, smash burger and side of romanesco. All SO good. And for lunch, got the seared ahi tuna sandwich and caprese sandwich. Really delicious.
Don’t miss!

Excellent food at the Spoon and Key. The green eggs and kale sandwich was out of this world tasty and the coffee was on point. I would definitely add this market to your weekly rotation and when your there, don't forget to try the delicious baked pastry treats!

Breakfast and lunch menu served until 3:30pm! Got the hash with ham (like a breakfast skillet with tomatoes, onions, and potatoes) and the 15 minute sandwich (with pork belly and jalapeños). We stayed at the Grand Wailea and this was by far our favorite breakfast of the trip! Bonus points for the hidden “fairy” doors. Also has an outdoor dining space (too hot for us and our baby) and a view of the ocean as well. Would come back and would grab some cheeses to bring to our room next time.

We live on Maui and we are very happy to discover this wonderful restaurant. Each dish we tried was a visual and culinary delight. The Heirloom Tomato appetizer is a “must order”. I love the pasta dish and my wife loved her fresh catch. This hidden gem in Wailea is a great choice for a comfortable, quality dining experience. We will be regulars at this spot.

WOW! This is was the best meal we had in maui. Wanted to try this place out because of the I saw a few good reviews for dinner and it did not disappoint. I would highly recommend ditching your your reservation at any of the 5 star hotels and give this place a try.
We ordered the ceviche, heirloom tomato, tagliatelle pasta, wagu burger, tenderloin steak. Everything was excellent but the wagyu burger and the ceviche with ahi were exceptional. Tenderloin presentation and flavors were also incredible.
They also have a tasting menu which we did not do but looks great.

We went here somewhat on a whim after snorkeling at Ahihi Kinau per a recommendation from my uncle. I thought we would be a bit underdressed but of course nowhere is truly formal in Hawaii - black tie is basically an aloha shirt and nice shorts 😂. When we came in, the owner greeted us and showed us to our table. It was not very busy on a Friday night but that might just be the season. Ultimately, the food and drinks did not disappoint. I had somewhat high expectations for the pre fixe menu and they were totally blown away. My partner and I split it so after drinks, tax and tip it came out to about $200 total which seemed appropriate for the amount of food and the level of service. That said, everything on the menu looked great and I think you could get a really good breakfast, lunch or dinner here for ~$30 pp. We will return next trip! Obviously S&K is not as historic as an institution like the Hailemaile General Store but the food was even better.

Wow! So glad we found this hidden gem for a weekend brunch/ lunch. Staff was super friendly, and the food was incredible. Fish tacos, tuna melt and the best blueberry muffin we have ever had. Make sure to come and save on all the overpriced / underwhelming hotel restaurants and a must try when in Maui. 🤘

my husband jesse and i just returned from 2 weeks on island and ate here every. single. day. sometimes twice a day, i am not kidding! i have celiac disease and never get sick here as i always inform them about my allergy! the staff started to know us after a few days of consecutively eating here and always treated us (and our sometimes complicated food orders) with the best attitude and service! food always so fresh, even down to the homemade pickles and locally sourced lettuce! TO THE OWNERS, please pass along to the staff (esp Liz) our gratitude for making every day a joy to come in and eat!

Top 10 meal of all time. It was our honeymoon and last day in Maui. We drove from Napili in what turned out to be 2 hours of traffic and it was SO worth it.
We celebrated it in true fashion - the best food coma ever. We thought about and actually booked the fancy dinner at the Grand Wailea and cancelled because the menu looked too fancy for us and we can’t imagine it would be any better than what we had. The staff was lovely. The server was attentive and took her time well in coursing our food. Owner came out to say hi for our honeymoon and left a small gift. Thank YOU Spoon and Key team and we will be coming back to Hawaii just for this.

My husband and two kids and I came here every day for breakfast during a previous visit to Wailea. We couldn’t wait to come back this year. The food is so flavorful and the staff are so kind and generous.
When I planned out our dinners for this trip, the family agreed how nice it would be to get outside of the resort for dinner one night. We wanted to support a local place so we booked a reservation for dinner at Spoon and Key. The food was delicious. My husband said it was the best burger he has had in a long time and my ahi tuna ceviche was so fresh and plentiful.
Go support this local joint! For kindness, consistently good food, and entertainment for the children! (There are hidden fairy doors that our kids had a blast searching for!)
