A group of us, curious about the recent renovation of the historic take-out restaurant, had a very disappointing lunch on Feb 19. We were puzzled to find the tempura was so undercooked that the batter was still raw. Hope the fryer gets fixed soon.

It is a street vendor, all take out food. Great portion. Very reasonable price. Line is a bit long during lunchtime. No place to sit, it is more of a grab and go place.
Wheelchair accessibility: You order at the window, the " shed" is really within the parking lot; then pick up at another window n the adjacent wall.

This is our first stop upon arriving in Maui. Everything is great, but the chicken katsu is something to write home about. It goes great with the chicken curry, but is also just great on its own. The breaded mahi is also fantastic. As is the teriyaki chicken. I really haven't had anything from them that I haven't enjoyed. Just go order whatever sounds good because it probably will be.
