This place is a gem! All of the pastries were fantastic! Loved the cream puffs and flavor combos, like the lilikoi toffee. I’ll def be back to try the bentos and musubi.

This place was one of the last places we went to. The pastries were all amazing. We tried 3 different kinds because they do sell out pretty fast. I would come here when they first open in order to get your first picks. If you come later on, there might not be any left for the day. They also have ready to go meals in case you want a quick meal. Good service. You can find nearby parking. Prices are economical.

Shikeda off Main Street is always a go to place to satisfy my sweet tooth. They offer creative flavors of cream puffs and unique local desserts like the lavender roll. This time we got a nice seasonal pumpkin cream puff. It was clearly a delicious treat. We also had the karage chicken, fish patty, kim chi, ginger and rice bento box. That was really tasty and satisfying. Also a genuine and thoughtful gift Shikeda does for their existing customers: they email a $5 gift valid for a certain time period and it definitely makes us feel appreciated!! Thank you!

I had a chance to try their food at a local event called "Joshi Kai" in Wailuku Town, as well as family getting their "Croquette Donuts" one day - the filling being warm and savory perfectly complimented the crunchy/crispyness of the outside, making it a perfect snack both in texture and flavor. Highly recommend ordering from them if you get to stop by Wailuku Town - Miguel Morales Photography

I made it a point to pass through the small town of Wailuku en route to Haleakala Summit to make a stop here. I've been obsessed with cutie bento boxes lately, so that's what I wanted from Shikeda. It's actually a tiny shop inside of a food hall. They had more stuff than I thought - cream puffs, shortcakes, spam musubis, croquette donuts, you name it! The pork belly bento box sounded special but I'm not into pork belly, so my husband and I shared the karaage & croquette bento box instead. We also got a spam and tamago musubi. And the croquette donut in char siu flavor. I had to convince myself not to get the the totoro cream puffs because we already got too much food. Maybe I should've though; the food was alright but not memorable. The char siu was a pink magenta, which threw me off because I'm used to bright red char siu found on the mainland. There's a bathroom in the food hall!

This is an awesome food court stall in Wailuku. They serve amazing Japanese style pastries as well as bento boxes at reasonable prices. Quality is very high and they seem to be always experimenting and trying to create new delicious products.
