Lunch counter is awesome local flavor, local portions, local prices. I have yet to try something here I don't like. My favorites include prime rib, shoyu pork, and paniolo spaghetti. They make delicious food. Staff is friendly, food is ono, and it feels good buying local. Today I ordered from the poke counter. Had spicy pipikaula and spicy ahi pokebowl. The portions were generous and the ahi was nice and fresh. Picked up a bag of boiled peanuts on my way out.
Out of all the poke places I tried in Maui this one is hands down the best. Not too pricey, a great selection, and very fresh. Located in a very bizarre part of the island almost in an industrial area of the island. The best poke though!!!
One of the newer businesses making a giant splash on Maui originally from Oahu. One of the best places on Maui to get authentic poke. Also, serving hot food plate lunches, specials each day. Roast pork with gravy and hamburger steak w/ gravy killa kine! Ahi burgers tasty as is chow funn. Large portions I refer to as, "Maui Memorial Hospital Specials", tongue in cheek. Most local Hawaiian plate lunches are large with entrée and 2 scoops of calrose sticky rice and mac/potato...
