This place was a surprise gem we discovered after a day at Waimānalo Beach Park! The portions are out of this world for the price and the shaved ice was really good as well. Wait is a bit long but it’s all fresh/cooked to order and well worth it! Highly recommend this one!

Although it may look like a little run down… it is one of the oldest and longest running restaurant in Hawaii. With its big portions and great taste I’d give this place a try if I were you. Not only do you your money’s worth but you get the great taste of what WAIMĀNALO is about.

Nice local plate lunch place right next to Waimanalo Beach Park. 2 specials on the menu but I opted for the Mixed plate and boy was I not disappointed! Great for the price, so try 'em out when you're in Waimanalo.

Got everything I could have ever wanted in Hawaiian fare cuisine. Platters were huge, delicious, and well priced. Staff was friendly and the vibes were great.

Lots of flies. Kahlua Pork was tasty but served in a styro box and the lower bun turned to liquid. SO MANY FLIES. Seating area was... grim. They ran out of fries and Coke just before we ordered (at 12:15) Very close to highway, so noisy. Ordering window has an industrial grade double screen (due to the flies) that you can't see through.
Slow, slow, slow service. We waited 40 minutes for a simple plate lunch! And the employees were uncommunicative and unhelpful. And the food was meh.

We stopped here and excited to try local fare....but while standing in line to order...the number of flies swaring around us made us doubt our choice. Which then made us wonder what the kitchen was like. We decided to not risk our stomachs. A MUCH better cafe is half a block down the road.
