Their edamame and roasted squash dishes were out of this world yummy. Served was awesome and accommodating. Macadamia nut cheese was delicious!

Falafel sandwich with macadamia nut cheese was really satisfying: the focaccia was fresh and crisp, the falafel was hearty, the fillings were flavorful and well-rounded. The fries were also excellent: crispy, salty, hot. Although not a huge amount of options, this place really surprised on the execution.

Love that the menu has vegan options marked, kind of sad that they use the vegan V to mean vegetarian though—you’ll do a double take! The falafel sandwich is really good; great focaccia by any standard, and the toum is legit. The house made pickles are pretty mediocre sadly. Oh and very solid fries too. Note that not all the beers are vegan; several are brewed with honey. It’s called out on the menu but if in doubt, ask.

Great place! Found the Brewhaus last year and stopped back again this year, while visiting the island, for the Gluten Free Fish Bites. Fantastic service and all the locals made us feel at home! This would be my hang out spot if I lived close. Hopefully us Wisconsin girls will make it back next year! ❤️

Always my go-to restaurant in Waimea. Great beer selections, from double IPA, sour, to port, you name it. Food tastes amazing before the beer, even gets better after the drink.
ps. Their tap water is the best on the entire island.

Let me first start by saying that I had big expectations for this brewery. The reason being, is when I asked several people while visiting Kailua-kona for recommendations on a good brewery, they all said Big Island Brewhaus! And that included employees from other breweries! I had to drive a bit out of my way due to visit fire to the fact that the first time I tried to visit, hurricane hone had knocked out their power. I'm glad I made the trip, though. All their beers were solid and the best on the island. They're not cheap, though. A pint will cost you $9, half pint is $5.50, and a 3.5 oz sampler is $2.50. The best deal was a flight of 5 for $10, which I bought two of. The beers I had were Golden Sabbath, Paniolo Pale Ale, White Mountain Porter (coconut coffee porter!), Red Giant Ipa, Overboard Ipa, Mele Mai Bock, Hoptopias, and Odin's Sword. If you noticed that I'm only showing 8 beers when I had 10 samples, we'll the other two were repeats plus I had an extra half pint of White Mountain! Also the food was excellent! I had the Farm Fresh Veggie on Rye, and my wife had the Kameula Kabocha Squash. This brewery receives one of my highest recommendations!

We were driving through Waimea today, came across the Big Island Brewhaus. We really were very happy that we stopped here! The restaurant is great, with a nice outdoor area. Very friendly staff. And the food and the beer were great! I had the Black & Bleu Burger. It was delicious! And the side Brewhaus slaw was very good too!
Paired it with a Jabba da Gose. Very refreshing and very tart!

A popular longtime local establishment that offers a variety of beers brewed on site. The interior is intimate inside and there is an outdoors seating area as well. Along with the variety of beers, there are spirits offered as well. They offer a wide variety of snacks and food. Enjoyable atmosphere. Well worth the visit if you’re in the area.

Food was good, but 9 dollars for fries as an add on, wasn't informed pre order. Asked if I'd like to add on fries. 30 dollars for a burger and fries was kinda ridiculous. Flies swarming the tables. Fries and flies.

Green chili was OK, not spicy like I was told it would be and nothing with it...no chips... That's my main gripe on the food. Most menu items are alla cart which doesn't make sense when they're $20 and up..you can add fries for $14 but add a beer to that and an appetizer and you're at the cost of a meal in a fine dining restaurant...

Poor service. It wasn't particularly busy, didn't seem like servers were well trained or working together. Poured drinks were piling up at the bar. 2 hours for lunch.

Great place to grab a burger and fries. Locally sourced ingredients and quick kind service!
