On the beach at the Mauna Kea resort. The restaurant will validate your parking and you can go hang out on the beach afterwards or order take out while you’re on the beach. We got the poke, cesar salad with mahi, and a burger. All of it solid - but pricey, but you know that at a resort. Service is great and you can’t beat the view. Try the frederico which is a Mai tai with whiskey in it.

Overall not bad for above average beach food - just pricey. Would recommend...

Beautiful setting on the beach. Lively atmosphere. The service was uneven, there were long stretches with no contact where more drinks could have been ordered or plates cleared. The food was ... okay. Somewhat uninspired menu, and they were out of several items we asked about on the menu. Portions were on the small side. Wine came in plastic glasses (understandable due to the beach setting) but they had a strange smell to them. Overall it was okay. Sunset was a highlight.

Our second visit to Hau Tree, this time just the two of us, and it was just as memorable. The restaurant is currently undergoing renovations, but it didn't affect the experience. We were happy to see our previous server, Conor, and requested to sit in his section—he was amazing last time and didn't disappoint.
